They examined insurance data from the National Transportation Safety Board. I'm not sure what other "scientific data" you'd be looking for? Seems pretty conclusive to me. They examined real world fire data vs. number of purchases via the Bureau of Transportation Statistics data. They also factored in fire related recalls, and even with the Bolt battery recall, gas vehicles were still recalled more often for fire risk.There's no scientific data to suggest only 25 out of 100k that's literally a number you made up
