Big 12 thread

and the teams that used to sign higher numbers could no longer sign everyone and those kids started going to other programs. those programs started doing better and other kids started signing to the programs that never had a chance at them prior.
Since Scholarships were reduced to 85 in 1992, only 1 team has won a National Championship who never had won one before and that is Florida

The previous 30 years, all the way back to 1962 from 1992, in that 30 year span, 9 teams won their 1st National Championship, that had never had one before.

Not sure where you are going with that.

thats the current the numbers have changed in sporadic amounts across time. each time you see more and more teams improving. teams getting to bowls that didnt before. having winning seasons. having record numbers of wins. highest rankings in school history. conference championships. just becasue they didnt win NC doesnt mean they werent doing better because of the limit changes.

Why can't texas afford natural grass? All these injurys they sustain even year on that field turf is not good. They should look into taking out a loan or something.

we had natural grass before and it didn't exactly stop the injuries either.. we have too much speed for our ligaments..

When Oklahoma had astro turf, we also had a 5 foot Crown on the field.

No matter what, you were always running downhill

LMAO Jack Mildren told me one day when we were playing poker that throwing from one hash mark across the field to the other hash mark was like trying to hit a 4 ft tall receiver. Good thing we didn't throw much. :)

I was waiting for you to bump this with some overly homeristic Texas article/video/idea.

Damn I was wrong on that one.

The die-hards will pay for it up close to the stadium. It starts at $475 a tent for 10 people and then prices go up for bigger tents with more tables and chairs. The prices will vary by game too. Bedlam is expected to be the most expensive. The public and free tailgating areas will remain unchanged from last year.
