In prder for tankless, the 1/2" gas line would need to be upgraded to a 3/4" pupe from the meter directly, and then the vent pipe needs to be rerouted, and either a 5" direct vent, or power vented pvc pipe. Stfu
Your house is that old?

1/2" pipe seems small, but then again you're in the desert and I'm just now putting that together
1/2" line is standard residential appliances. The new tank less units use a higher volume of gas, and need a 3/4" pipe by code here. Its not 1/2" to the house, it isnt to any house.

Oh I figured that much (not being 1/2" to the house) it dawned on me as I was typing the previous response that your lines aren't likely expected to support the same gas flow as here. So age really doesn't matter.

Your appliances are almost certainly 1/2 lines.

Meh decided to look and realized I was thinking of my old house and pipes, the manifold is 1" right on the furnace room (water heater in there) but all the flexible yellow stuff is indeed 1/2" the old furnace had the black 3/4" running to it but it didn't have the power vent either so maybe it's an efficiency thing?
