Wonder if Sainz is regretting leaving McLaren?

People can say what they want about Horner and his team at Red Bull, but you never see them making those kinds of mistakes with strategy and pits.

Better strategy and more reliable parts are gonna let Verstappen run away with the drivers championship and Red Bull run away with the constructors. Ferrari has the speed to match Red Bull, but dumbasses making strategy calls and Dodge Neon parts they use keep failing

Not a chance. Even with bad strategy, he still is out in a top two car. Living a dream by winning a Grand Prix in a Ferrari.

McLaren has been disappointing this year. Make a big step forward last year, winning a race and finishing third in the constructor’s title, only to take a big step back this year. Ferrari blew past them and Mercedes is still above them

I seriously wonder how Mattia Binotto is still team principle, nothing but consistent inconsistency, bad mechanics and bad strategy since he's been in charge.

I think McLaren knew 2022 would be a meh year for them and have been/are concentrating on 2023 when a lot of rule changes come.

I think they have their toes in too many different racing leagues. They run in F1, IndyCar, various sports car series and Formula E.

I think they’d be better off scrapping their Formula E program. I’ve tried, but Formula E sucks.

I don't like it too much either, but it is what it is, basically a rookie league to get young drivers acclimated before they move up to F3 or F2.

Verstappen is just on another level right now. Starts mid pack, spins, and looks like he's still gonna win comfortably

Small man cheater. Married to a skinny lady.

There, I said what I want about Horner.

It seems he doesn't have the interest in persevering.

Very new age in that thinking.

This year is an aberration.

MB/Hamilton/Russell aren't done yet. Norris will move somewhere worthy of his abilities if McLaren doesn't put up.

Mind you they've upped the schedule to ridiculous levels so it's like comparing seasons in hockey that went from 50, to 60, to 72? to 80, etc.

I still think it's unlikely.

He’s been winning since he first started. They made an age rule because of him.

Do I think he breaks Hamilton’s record? No

But to completely dismiss it as a possibility is dumb

Sounds like Danny Ric is out at McLaren next year.
