Im just saying Vasek and Shelby should have been sure gets for you guys. And neither Wilson nor Akana are realistic imo.lol how is it a major failure when it's August, not NSD1??
** This kid was the one I really wanted, of all the DE prospects in the state (Hicks is not a DE), he has all the physical tools. Dad played at Arkansas, older less talented brother is still in the NFL.. Mom played CBB.. But I get why they chose LA, the SC staff are all over his younger sister who is a stud in both volleyball and basketball.. terrific pickup by SC**
No.. Shelby was never a sure target.. sucks that we discovered him before most other schools jumped in. We clearly were #2, hope they keep trying to work themselves in there til the end. He's gonna be really really good.Im just saying Vasek and Shelby should have been sure gets for you guys. And neither Wilson nor Akana are realistic imo.
But at least you're going to land Baxter which will give you a bump in recruiting.
all of the schools behind Notre Dame on that list for '23 have a higher star average

Once Bama, OSU, and UGA fill out their classes with 3 stars that won't be the case.
sounds like Notre Dame has a found a market on 4* kids that don't want to compete for nattys + want to bang fattys

the sport will be dead by 2026We'll be bringing home that Natty in 2026.

Fine with it. If they want to be handed spots and not have to work for it, go somewhere else.Smells like LSU is starting to pick up.. Rumor is aggys other CB commit, Jayvon Thomas could be next to decommit..
We’ll be adding a half dozen high 4* and 5*. We also have some 3*. We will lose one 3* who won’t be on the class … JUCO bound. Also keep in mind that the larger the class, the formula they use lessens the impact of the lower players. Our average won’t change much but will go up.Once Bama, OSU, and UGA fill out their classes with 3 stars that won't be the case.

I responded because there is some truth to what you say. Bama and UGA will be in it at the end for some high-end guys, but Smart is also really good at picking up some 3* guys that were under the radar and blew up their senior year. EJ Lightsey and Andrew Paul last year, Ladd McConkey in 2020 is a great example. Brett Seither and Ryan Goede (TEs) are great examples in 2019.I know. I was kidding. I don't expect to finish above UGA and Bama. I do think there is a chance we finish ahead of OSU.
We shall see if that #1 QB rating holds up. But yeah would be shocking if Baxter announced anywhere else.Waiting for Cedric Baxter to commit to Texas this evening.. Would be the first time for UT to grab the #1 QB and #1 RB in the same class
