There's no Applebee's close to here yet they always show commercials for it here. I just saw one the other days something about 12 shrimp for a dollar. So yes. "Shrimp" The last one closed like right before COVID after some cook cut the tip of his finger off and some lady found it in her salad. Yummy!

Lol yea. It's a stupid argument to argue which turd sandwich would draw more eyes. But it would be Indiana/Rutgers.

No one is claiming thats a big draw anyway. ODs logic is that the whole Pac 12 will now have many many eyes on it because of ESPN.
 
Pac 12 after dark looking skrong in week 1 with Idaho @ Washington State at 9:30 PM EST and Kent State & Washington at 10:30 EST.

Ratings will be through the roof.

I guess ESPN did nab Boise State @ Oregon State for 10:30 PM EST, which objectively is watchable at least, but nobody on the east coast is staying up to watch a 7-5 G5 team play a 7-6 PAC 12 team.

These late night games really do seem to be fillers so they aren't just running more sports center reruns.

There's still a TON of inventory ESPN has to fill. During conference play, once OU and Texas join, there's only going to be at a max 8 SEC games. But most weeks it will be 7 games. Between ABC and ESPN/2/U and the SECN, there is a potential of 18 games per week. That leaves about 11 games per week they need content for. The ACC isn't going to be able to fill that alone. The P12 and B12 are viable options.

Which is fine. None of the premiere teams in the league want to be on that late anyway.

Other than fans of teams playing in those games, only those of us that are CFB addicts will watch 'em. (And some of their fans may not be willing to either.)

OD logic is a puzzle that will never be solved or understood.

The P12N has really been a disservice to the conference. Half of Washington's games last year were on that network. That's awful for the conference, no matter how bad they were. Kent St/Washington being on FS1 is actually a really good thing. I know I'll be flipping back and forth between that game and BSU/Oregon State. That game might even be able to get over a million viewers(that might be selling it short). It has a really good lead in game with Utah(west coast audience) and UF(for the people that aren't watching ND/OSU).

These types of games will get similar ratings to that of Iowa/SDSU and Wisconsin/Illinois State I'd imagine.

Is this serious? Honestly I haven’t seen it reported anywhere. Plus the B12 next contract is in 2024, I highly doubt ESPN would want to negotiate now for then much less renegotiate before then. The PAC may have gotten a nice lifeline.

I will watch all college football PAC 10/12, MAC, SEC, whatever. ESPN has dominated sports marketing in the college football realm because of who they have had. I feel most of the games will be pushed late especially when the CFP possible PAC teams fall off. You can market a pile of shit, but it is still a pile of shit. I am not saying the PAC is garbage, but I feel that ESPN will dominate the sports market, but ESPN doesn't need the PAC to do this.
