This is interesting because a big advantage that Prime has is people basically get it free with Prime to get free shipping. I don't know about you guys but that's the main reason we have Prime (although its selections are getting much better on the viewing front). I don't think this deal with Walmart closes that gap but it will potentially give Paramount+ another service it can promote and Walmart+ will push people onto the streaming service. This can start to separate them from Netflix and HULU. Paramount is positioned well IMO with the Star Trek and Yellowstone universes they just need to be more consistent with the timing of their releases so there is always something new and no dead periods.

New York (CNN Business)Walmart+ — in its effort to become a true competitor to Amazon Prime — will offer Paramount+ as part of its membership offering, the companies announced Monday.
Starting in September, Walmart+ subscribers will have access to Paramount+'s wide array of content from series including "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" to films such as "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" as well as live sporting events.
The move bolsters both companies' offerings. For Walmart, it now has a streaming video component to lure subscribers away from rival Amazon (AMZN) Prime. As for Paramount (PGRE), its service will likely get a boost in customers by being tied to a bundle from a major retailer like Walmart (WMT).
For consumers, it's also pretty good deal, considering it includes a Paramount+ Essential subscription, which normally costs $4.99 a month, bundled within Walmart+'s $12.95 a month price tag.

I did a trial of Walmart plus for some dumb reason and forgot to cancel it, we forget to use it enough but really is handy.

Other day we were at the store and I said we really need to get the boys those organization cubes things, in the store decided not to cart them around ourselves (4boxes) and instead had them delivered later that day. Worked out well now of the boys can stop stuffing toys where clothes go.

Oddly enough, Yellowstone proper is on Peacock. Paramount only has 1883.

What is Walmart+ and why are we going to Walmart in the first place ??
Walmart+ is kinda like Prime except you get like uber drivers or whoever delivering for them sometimes (they have their own vans) and you can order food and shti and it shows up that day or free shipping on the stuff that has to ship too

First I've ever heard of walmart+, don't see the attraction.

free online grocery orders, ive used it when the Walmart Neighborhood market was out of my True Lemon Energy drink mixes and they delivered them a couple hours after i got home from a different store. The wife has done it when she wanted her special purple anti bronze shampoo. Its taking us longer to get used to but slowly we are finding better prices than amazon or at least comparable and quicker delivery times if it is in stock in a local store you will get it delivered that day

If it's in stock at a local store I can just go up there and get it.

Delivered groceries! WTF!!

Yea sometimes you dont want to go to the store, deal with mouth breathers, realize that they only have self checks but only half of them are open cuz they cant even have enough people staffed to manage them......plenty of reasons or maybe its across town where they have something in stock and not at the one nearby?

plus free shipping on ordered items taht are not in store

Don't have walmart+ but honestly seems pretty sweet. Walmart prices without actually having to go to Walmart.

Everything Taylor Sheridan moving forward is going to be on Paramount:

1883
1923
6666s
Mayor of Kingstown
Tulsa King
1883 - The Bass Rives Story (spinoff)
Lioness - Development
Landman - Development

The Sheridan-verse is going to be big for Paramount and that's why we are having dead periods on the service because they are putting major bucks into these shows but once it all gets moving it will be a huge draw and won't cost a billion dollars like LOTR on Amazon.

Reruns. New episodes are on Paramount.
Ah. I have never been able to watch the old Yellowstone eps, so I haven’t watched any of them. I only look for the old stuff, and that isn’t avail on paramount

Paramount + had me at Beavis and Butthead revival. Who cares what else they do.

I got Paramount+ for the Beavis and Butthead movie but then quickly realized after that there is nothing at all good on that service.

Halo wasn’t bad.
The offer was great.
Star Trek Discovery and Strange New Worlds are great.
Yellowstone
1883
Mayor of Kingstown

Paramount is pretty strong and getting better.

I just did a search…

Yellowstone is not on Paramount at all (neither old or new)
