GAME Florida @ Tennessee 2:30 CST CBS Saturday

I forgot how good the Stoops OU defenses used to be. Not only did OU finish in the top 20 in scoring defense in each of his first six seasons, but they finished 6th or higher four years in a row.
Venables was there with him during those years. So glad to make defense a focus again.

Not a big game for Tennessee.

Florida is as vulnerable as they can be right now. Terrible QB play. Defensive leader is out. UT double digit favorites and it’s a home game. Should be an easy easy win for Tennessee.

Are his annual games vs Alabama and Georgia less of a challenge? I think not.
lol...

Everyone here views it as a big game. Every day this week I've heard as long as we beat Florida, I don't care!

Even before season started, I marked this as the biggest game on Tennessee's schedule. It is a classic toss-up game against a major rival that has owned us. We need to win it to rise to the next level.

Sure, we could still recruit and build up in the years to come but getting this win now would be HUGE for our program.

He should use…

FTR I’ve heard good things about how it tastes… no word on how it fits into ones anus.

It’s definitely made for the masses. It tries to be both Dijon and yellow mustard: kinda in the middle.

Muschamp's were the same way, crazy good D. But he could never manage even a scrap of O. How D that good is possible with O that bad, I'll never understand.

UT is a two touchdown favorite. Biggest game? You think you’ll be favored by even more than that against Alabama and Georgia?

Alabama and Georgia are not winnable games, you are a game we can win and need to win. (I call it a toss-up).

Our biggest games coming into the season were Pittsburgh, Florida, LSU, and Kentucky because they are our toss-up games. Win those 4 and we can go 10-2 which would be HUGE.

Granted, things could be interesting when Alabama comes to Knoxville if we can get by Florida and LSU but that all depends on getting by those two opponents which won't be easy games for us.

Actually watching GameDay for once, 100 years ago they wore Orange for the first time.

Ugh... Tennessee fans are doing SEC Chant and shouting overrated when they talk about non-SEC teams

@TaikoTiger

Apologize for Tennessee fans, not sure why there is a ton of hate towards Clemson this morning and they keep chanting overrated at them. We are recruiting rivals.

Heck you guys are a future SEC school anyways

Spurrier just said his grandson is getting married this weekend. I sincerely hope Spurrier slapped the shit out of him for this.

Yeah, I saw that clip too. Spurrier was talking about finding a tv.

Spurrier grew up in Knoxville but never got a scholarship to Tennessee... I think it was a little personal for him in the 1990s.

I’m still in awe that the grandson and Significant other did this. Yeah it’s hard to get wedding venues these days but JC man, the day of the UT game????

It happens. To be honest, I love CFB but I would go to a major wedding over a CFB game. CFB is ultimately entertainment (for the fans) and not life. I can respect Spurrier for it (although it was life for him for a long time).

In truth, nothing I can do matters to the game. It is ultimately up to the coaches and players. BTW, great win Thursday night.

Did they say Florida has won 24 of the last 29?

Sounds correct. Tennessee has been pretty bad against Alabama, Florida, and Georgia since Fulmer left and Fulmer really wasn't that great against Florida either.

Florida has also been favored in most of those matchups.
