Yea but Minnesota has also played some pretty awful teams.

Colorado is the worst P5 team, pretty easily.

New Mexico State is probably a bottom 5 FBS team.

Western Illinois is a pretty bad FCS team. (They are 0-4)

Michigan State was their only "real" competition.

You can say ND sucks and Wisconsin isnt really that good but i'd say our slate has been quite a bit tougher so far than Minnesota's
This isn't who I think is the best in the B1G. It is a ranking who has dominated their opponents the best. On my Hoopla rankings, I have Ohio State #2 behind Georgia. I expect Ohio State to bump Minnesota down a few spots. I hope to have either Minnesota or Ohio State #1.

Unless Iowa dominates Michigan like they did the last time they played Ohio State, I probably won't put Iowa above Michigan if Iowa pulls off the upset.

Looks like Smith-Njigba might be out for a extended period of time, seems he's tweaked his hamstring worse than initially thought. Hopefully he can get back before the Ped State game.

I don't see any reason to play him vs Rutgers or even Michigan State before the BYE Week.

Yeah. Let him come back when he feels ready. Part of me wonders if it was even slightly injured in the off-season and he tweaked it trying to play in what was supposed to be a huge match up.

From what I understand, he wants to play but the coaches are being cautious bc he convinced them to come back for the Toledo game and wasn't 100%

Exactly.

I'm not doubting Minnesota has a good team, but of course their overall stats look better. They've played 2 bottom 10 FBS teams, a awful FCS team and a Michigan State team that's looking like they may finish 5th or 6th in their division.
Who exactly has Ohio State? Notre Dame who needed a fourth quarter comeback to beat Cal?

Yeah, sit there and pretend you don’t know who Arkansas St and Toledo are!!

A 2-10 Sun Belt team and a 7-6 Mac team last season are supposed to be impressive?
