I wouldn't be shocked if Harsin joins the list of unemployed.

So now, in terms of P5 teams, you have ASU, Wisky, Nebraska, and maybe Auburn.

Wild considering we are only in week 6.
Finebaum was alluding to Texas A&M being a possibility with their boosters as well. Seems to be the time of year the boosters have the most power to oust people.

NO WAY Jimbo is on the hot seat after bringing in potentially one of the best recruiting classes since they started keeping track of it.

You'd have to wait for 2 more years to see what he can do with this class and more, and then make a decision.

Texas A&M boosters are oil money, amongst other industries, so nothing is truly impossible. But yeah that's out there even for me.

Agree with both playing in poor talent areas, but Wisconsin is a school that attracts top offensive line talent because of putting OL into the NFL with their run heavy attack and don't have a fan base with thoughts of being nationally elite. They simply want to be in the top half of the B1G West and compete year in and year out for the West.

Money wise -- it is obviously Nebraska. But no coach in CFB today, that'd take the Nebraska job, will ever be able to achieve what Nebraska fans want and 'expect'. It'd take Warren Buffett giving the program a blank check for Nebraska to be able to compete with the Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, etc.

If Nebraska's fan base had realistic expectations, which should be on par with Wisconsin's ceiling, Nebraska would be the better job.

In the end though -- it will be the same result, no matter which job a coach takes. Competitive in the B1G West -- get the chance to be the sacrificial lamb in the B1G CCG against the B1G East champ.
I'm old school but who says you can't modernize your offense and still put linemen in the NFL? NFL offensive lineman need to be able to run block AND pass block....and now RPO block.

Better question is who are the good candidates?

Unfortunately with Wisky and Nebraska open, I fear my Jayhawks are on the list by default. :(
I think you are safe as far as Wisconsin goes. Although it would be a natural thing for Coach Lance to come home. I just see Leonhard as being the darling boy Wisconsin doesn't want to lose. I think he would have been offered his HC chance after this year by some other team.

I didn't say you couldn't. But if i told you to name the top 3 schools for putting OL into the NFL -- I bet you wouldn't put Wisconsin in there, yet they are #2 in all of CFB for Offensive Linemen put into the NFL.

You don't see a lot of gimmick offenses in the NFL -- you have a select few teams with certain QB's, but the majority are looking for pro style OL, maulers in the run game, can keep a clean pocket. That's why Wisconsin puts so many OL to the NFL, as they are one of the few who aren't using the RPO looks and instead just line up and run it at you.

I think he will be a great hire for Wisconsin.
