Is Kansas State better than Georgia?

I'd be embarrassed if i lost to Purdue once you remove their All-American WR who carried their offense and their All-American DE who anchored their defense. Purdue doesn't just plug in the next elite recruit to take over. Taking those guys away from Purdue make them a 3 or 4 win team.

So the higher in the standings, better record argument means very little when you remove those two guys from Purdue.

We had several players injured for Bowl Game too plus I remember getting jobbed by the refs a couple of times in that game. Not as bad as Ole Miss and Pitt game last year.

So far, they refs haven't been bad to us this year. Some "no call" holds and targets against Florida were missed but that was about it.

Which all american's did Tennessee have sit out for the bowl game? :)

Remember when Alabama lost to Ole Miss, and then beat Arkansas 14-13 in back to back weeks, and they still easily made the playoffs?

Overreacting to what essentially comes down to style points isn't a good look.

A win is a win and if you win ugly 15 times in a season, you're still gonna have a natty.
1992 Alabama and 2002 Ohio State approve of this message!

It doesn't but it shows you what is wrong with teams like Missouri being in your league. I cannot stand when an SEC school goes and embarrasses itself out of conference when you know they are better than the performance they put up.

Auburn, Missouri, and Texas A&M all fit the bill this year with their dreadful OOC losses. You should get a one year suspension from the SEC if you do that kind of shit.

OOC results are especially misleading because they are played early in the season when teams are trying to find themselves and they are generally against teams you don't play often and haven't schemed for.

Keep this in mind with Oregon. Oregon is probably a lot better team than their 49-3 loss to Georgia. (Same with Utah).
Conferences matter for one thing, money. That’s it, nothing more.

To some degree you are correct. Actually having a bad conference would help you because it is easier to win and if you win it, you are in the mix for playoffs.

It's really not.

Being in a good conference means more big time games, means more money and national recognition, and thus better recruits.

Not to mention that if you play in a dominant conference, you are able to lose 1 game and still make the playoffs.

You can't do that in the PAC unless every other team has 2 losses.

True but it is easier to get those losses in the stronger conference. However, all conferences have unbalanced schedules so being in a tougher conference with an unbalanced schedule is an advantage.

However, sometimes the best teams, historically, have been the teams with the toughest schedules.

Iowa State > Iowa > Rutgers > Boston College > Louisiville.
This game sux!
Never mind.

They beat Missouri 40-12?

What does that say about Tulane as well? Would Tulane compete for SEC Championship?

I mean seriously, why can Missouri play with Georgia but can't play with Kansas State?

If Kansas State is good, how come they couldn't beat Tulane?

This is the stuff that just racks the brain of a college football fan...
Pondering Anthony Anderson GIF by BET
Tulane already has morebSEC titles than 7 of the 14 teams in the SEC
