EPL 2022/2023

2 big games, both on sunday this week:
- Man U hosting Newcastle
- Liverpool hosting City

I don't think i'd be surprised by any result except if LFC manages to beat City. Considering the form each team is currently in, that result seems unlikely. But weird things can happen in sports.

That is good because I will be out most the day tomorrow. The schedule works great for me:

Manu/Newcastle 6 AM
Liverpool / City 8:30 AM
Bonus: Bayern / Freiburg 10:30 AM

Triple header with no cross over. Of course Real Madrid / Barcelona at 7:15 AM so have to roll out the laptop for that one for duel coverage.
 
Firing Scott Parker best thing Bournemouth could have done. Have not lost since Liverpool beat down.
 
Watching United flop all over the penalty area and Craig Pawson not falling for it is pure magic.
 
Come on Newcastle, put one through

Somehow we got it done. First half was meh, both teams had chances but it was waaaay more calm.

Second half was nuts, both teams missed chances but City gets a goal taken off by a so so foul. But that sequence should have never happened as A Little before Salah has an excellent opportunity but edersen makes a good save but they call it a goal kick instead of a corner.

Concelo then loses Salah and Salah gets the breakaway goal. Liverpool literally could have won 3-0 as much as it could have been 1-1. Missed opportunities to put the game away but in the end they hold on. Haaland seemed missing for large portions of the game today and I don’t know how.

We’ll take the 3 points.

Nice, I’ll have to check the highlights. Interesting the foul in the build up, Leeds had one against Arsenal that was the same, very very light, defender going down when he’s in a tussle with Bamford.

Fucking VAR and when they call fouls in build up and when they don’t, remains a very inconsistent thing.

Awesome on getting the 3 points, whoever plays city next should prepare butthole.

Disappointing performance from Spurs. They were lucky the final was only 2-0.
So far, in the 3 games vs the big rival clubs they've drawn @Chelsea and lost @Arsenal and @ManU. And they got played off the pitch in all 3. Not terribly encouraging if they have eyes on big prizes.
