It is Mid-October and there are over 10 teams still in serious contention for the Title

Funny enough LSU could still technically win the SEC west, lol

They play both Ole Miss AND Bama at home.

How much of a cluster fuck would that be if they won both of those games?

True but that is asking a lot for first year coach with new system. However, it is later in the year and the players should have figured things out by now.

Alabama, mostly due to Bryce Young, should win it but if they continue to second guess themselves like they are doing all over the place, then things could get interesting. The meltdown is something new that I haven't seen under Saban. The loss isn't any different than their loss to A&M last year, they still control their destiny but the difference is how they are responding to the loss. I am pretty sure it has everything to do with who they lost to and how much they hate Tennessee.

My big thing with Clemson is that they are finding a way to win in tough situations and gutted it out. It could be a sign they are overrated or a sign that they are a resilient team. Many times in CFB, the teams gutting out the wins are the ones that take home the crown and not the teams constantly blowing out people that are unchallenged.
Yep. Unless you are like 2019 LSU, teams need to play in those close games early so they'll know how to deal with them later. At least IMO they do.

I strongly doubt Ole Miss makes it through these next 5 games with only 1 loss. I think they have a better shot at 8-4 than they do 11-1.

I am going with 10-2. I think they can beat Alabama though.

I know you are down on Arkansas but they have won OOC games against Cincinnati and BYU. Sure BYU has struggled but the key thing about that win was Arkansas traveled to BYU and won in a very different geographical atmosphere than what they are used to. BYU lost @ Oregon and @ Notre Dame in those two games. I mean if BYU traveled to Arkansas, I would agree with you that it wasn't that big of a win.

Arkansas finishes the season at least 8-4, book it. Texas A&M deserves all the heat you are giving them. No excuse for their garbage season. They were lucky to even beat Arkansas.

I think BYU not being able to beat Notre Dame shows that BYU isnt that good of a team. They also got slaughtered by Oregon that game was not even competitive.

Arkansas also had a hell of a time beating Missouri State, they were trailing that game 27-17 with 11 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

They are also coming off a completely non competitive showing against Mississippi State 2 weeks ago. Miss State completely throttled them.

True. The key with Missouri State is that it was coached by Bobby Petrino who knows Arkansas pretty well. I think that got into their head a little.

Arkansas is basically like a Minnesota or maybe on a good day, a Penn State. They are a good team but they won't compete against the top dogs, they just don't have the talent.

Arkansas finishing 8-4 would mean beating 4 of Auburn, Liberty, LSU, Ole Miss & Missouri. Sorry but that's not really that impressive at all.

I would put Arkansas' schedule up against anyone in the B1G right now lol.

Eh theres really no excuse for needing a late 4th quarter surge to scrape by a bad FCS team. (Missouri State is 2-4 currently)

I don't see them beating Ole Miss and LSU is a toss-up. I think they will win the others. Not sure how good Liberty is, they are always tricky with Hugh Freeze.
I’d put my money on em winning out

Liberty is 6-1

They only lost to Wake Forest by 1 BUT they also only beat Gardner-Webb (a 2-5 FCS team) by 1. and had close games with Southern Miss, Akron & UAB.

Seem like a ok G5 team but no reason Arkansas shouldn't beat them fairly easily.

Which means Michigan was actually 5-6 at game time! What an upset. Played their hearts out to get bowl eligible
I will take it!!!!! I always say -- we could go 2-10 as long as the two wins are Ohio State and Michigan State.

I’d be ok with a 3-4 Michigan State beating a 7-0 Michigan

Plot twist. Tennessee goes undefeated and the final week of the season NCAA concludes their investigation and announces a postseason ban

This is another twist that Knox News is pushing. I don't see it.

However, I still think we are a long shot to make playoffs. We need to at least beat Georgia and win out. A lot of football still to play. If we are undefeated a month from today, I will start taking things seriously.

If there is a cage match the rules are you must climb up and over the cage to win. None of this exiting through the door BS.
