I can see that for two reasons.
1) the extra rest for players, particularly the bullpen
2) Phillies fans, who were probably already tanked up before the game, will probably just keep going until
tomorrow, making them extra "Philly" for game 3 and thus more raucous than normal

That and we can track up a much better pitching lineup the next few games now.
