tOfficial PAC-12 Thread

And that's why they didn't go for it on 4th and 1. They don't have a power run game.

Those 3rd and short stops are killing UW right now. I might consider throwing on 3rd and short if I’m UW

Not feeling like talking in OD's thread? lol

Don't worry, the passing lanes will be there all day. That penalty hurt more than the Huskies D. Now that Perryman is out that young corner is going to get smoked. That long pass to the 20y was against him on his first play out after the injury.
Just like that. This team gets beat over the top way too often.

Penix cemented in UW history now.

Will be interesting to see how Oregon bounces back next week vs Utah. Still a lot on the line. CCG still in play.

PAC 12 should be concerned about visibility.

I found this article interesting. Especially this about Amazon.

"For the moment, Amazon has let it be known it is only doing business with must-see, premium live sports television properties, namely the NFL.

"[Amazon has] no interest in bad games," one industry source said."

I'm guessing by "bad games" they mean games involving the non big names. Thoughts?

The PAC has and always will have "visibility" issues due to time zone.

It's 11:30 pm here in the Central time zone at the UCLA/Arizona Halftime.

The effect of that extra hour (12:30) on the populations of the Eastern time zone is exponential.

Maine & Indiana in the same time zone? Yeah, something’s definitely fucky.

Gotta credit Penix and UW. That’s a big win in a tough environment

Lost in it all was kicker Peyton Henry redeeming himself with that FG after missing a similar one 4 years ago that would have won the game for UW the last time they were in Autzen. It's going to be Penix that is talked about for decades to come, but Henry's redemption is a pretty cool piece of that game.

I was at the game in 2018. I was really hoping for history to repeat itself last night

It was a wild finish last night. I'm sure fans from both sides were screaming at their TV's. As bad as UW's D was throughout the game I was screaming "Don't give up a play over the top!"

Why Lanning didn't use a timeout when Nix came up to him asking to get back in before that 4th down play is something that will also be discussed for a long time.

Sounds like Bo isn’t going to be able to go against Utah. If that’s the case, Utah will win big. Oregon has no backup QB who’s capable of winning a game like that

That sucks. The danger of running QB's. You hate to see it.

It's also important to have a quality backup. That was a huge concern for Oregon all year and I was hoping it wouldn't matter. Oregon's going to have to lean heavy on their running game but unfortunately it sounds like Forsyth and Walk are probably going to be out as well. Definitely a disappointing way to end the year.

Trust me I understand. The knock on Penix coming in was he hadn't ever made it more than 6 games through a season and UW for sure doesn't have a backup anywhere near his level. UW would have ended up with the same QB they had last year at 4-8 if he went down. Morris was terrible and for some reason Sam Huard still isn't ready or some shit.

Still, Oregon has one of the strongest running games in the conference. Stranger things have happened.

UW at 15 in both polls seems high to me, but it's also silly to have them one spot ahead of the UCLA team that beat them.

the bigger question is about Nix. Oregon's bounce back or lack of hinges on his ankle.

Hopefully he bounces back and plays this weekend. Ankles can be quick to recover, or lingering.

Would love to see what they can do against Utah's defense with him at near 100%.

Week 12 Lines:

Washington State (-4) at Arizona
Oregon State (-7.5) at Arizona State
Stanford at California (-4.5)
USC (-2.5) at UCLA
Colorado at Washington (-31)
Utah at Oregon (-3)

5 of the 6 games are single digit spreads. Should be a fun week

Someone with entirely too much free time on their hands laid out all of the paths to the CCG.

Week 12 Predictions:

Washington State 34 Arizona 24
Oregon State 35 Arizona State 24
California 28 Stanford 24
UCLA 35 USC 34
Washington 49 Colorado 14
Utah 34 Oregon 20

Line is now Utah -1. I still think that's the best bet for the week, followed up with Wazzu -4.
