ACC Basketball

Never should have left the ACC.

Yeah, business wise, they made the right move considering how much better the Big 10 rights deal is over the ACC's pathetic deal (thanks Swofford), but they took a nosedive in the major sports after the move
two takes on this:

1.) eh, Maryland basketball from a results perspective has been very Maryland-like in the Big Ten. Good, not great.
2.) You're 100% right because absolutely nobody cares about Maryland basketball anymore. Whether they want to admit it or not, their brand was heavily connected with UVa and the four North Carolina schools. Without those schools, their brand means nothing.

today's game has bad loss written all over it for the Deacs. They haven't looked good to start out the year and they're playing in a bad tournament in a foreign country

They are so far removed from what they were at the beginning of the century, it's pretty crazy. Those Duke/MD games in the early 2000's were incredible. So were the MD/UNC and MD/Wake games. They will never get that type of rivalry in the big 10. A top 5 Michigan State team could come to College Park and it would be half as big of a deal if an unranked Duke or UNC came to town. It's gotta suck for the fans.

Before they left the league, the smack talk between Maryland and NCSU fans was hilarious

haven't been a big rah rah conference guy for a while, but this is a picture perfect performance by UVa so far

league really needed this

Clemson takes down giant killer Bellarmine!

Uva is back, mfers!

FSU blew their 17 point halftime lead within the first 6 minutes of the second half.

if Monsanto isn't a double digit scorer by season end, then i just don't see a scenario where the Deacs will be competitive

Louisville gonna go to 0-4. Pretty non competitive against Arkansas, which I guess would be expected at this point.

Kenny Payne's issue isn't losing to a good Arkansas team by 30 in year one.

Its losing to Bellarmine, Wright State and App State. they're winless and there's only four gimme games left on their schedule (and tbh, that includes Western Kentucky. Not going to be easy)

10-22 is probably a best scenario for Louisville this year. Fucking ouch. Worst case scenario is probably 5-27

They could be 0-8. Amazing... WTF could possibly be going on there?

There's enough bad teams in the ACC that they'll probably stumble into a few more wins than they should.

Clemson and Virginia combined 8-1 to start the season. Carrying the ACC this year.

My God, UL down almost 40 to TTU in the 2nd half.

So I know about the coaching situation but like damn, did every player they had transfer out and they replaced them all with nerds from the Louisville chapter of the Dungeons and Dragons club? How are they this bad?

Syracuse lost to St. John's last night

St. John's might be a good team, tbh. time will tell

Typical St Johns team.

.500 in conference and on the bubble before collapsing...
