ACC Basketball

Did our part in the Challenge. Don't fuck it up everyone else

pretty possible ACC goes winless tomorrow

had a very good showing tonight, tho

Damn, ACC actually won the challenge 8-6.

Caleb Love is a really efficient shooter

Oh yeah! ACC isn't total dogshit! Suck it Big10!

still early but i think these are the Q1 opportunities for UNC the rest of way:

@ VT
neutral court vs Ohio State
*neutral court vs Michigan (have no idea if Michigan is a top 50 team or not)
@ Virginia
@ Duke
@ Wake Forest
@ NC State
@ Notre Dame
Virginia
Duke

ten games, but six of those are on the road. and uh, good luck winning against UVa with Caleb Love. Hopefully their home game against Wake becomes a Q1 opportunity, but i'm not banking on that

wouldn't shock me if UNC was a bubble team in March again.

This is kinda what I said in the UNC thread. If they lose to IU, OSU and Michigan OOC, they need to go like 15-5 in the ACC to feel safe. Well they already lost to IU, so there goes that chance. Honestly, looking at that schedule, I don't think they'll be favored in any of those games except the Michigan game. If they go 1-8 in that stretch, they aren't making the tournament unless they win the ACC tournament. And this is banking on them not getting upset, which given the way they've played you cant count that out.

right and i think Wake had 3 Q1 wins last year and they weren't even a #1 seed in the NIT

so if the bubble is a mirror of last year's (maybe/maybe not), then UNC is going to have to do better than 3-7 in these games.

Yeah, going 3-7 would mean they would be 3-10 against Q1 teams(assuming Michigan would be a Q1), with losses already to ISU, Bama and IU. IF they win all their other regular season games, that MIGHT put them on the right side of the bubble, but they would be 21-10 entering the ACCT, and how many of their games outside of this schedule will be even Q2 opportunities? I think 21-10 entering ACCT play isn't going to be enough. They'll have a pretty good OOC SoS, which will help, but if they go 0-5 or 1-4 against the quality teams, how good really is that? Also, one other thing going for them, CofC might sneak into Q1 territory, this season. Which would be unexpected, but good for UNC.

Right now UNC is projected to finish 23-8, but that includes home wins against UVA and Duke. 21-10 certainly possible for them.

Deacs are going to lose tonight after a big win road

and if you disagree then you just don't know Wake Forest basketball

Clemson stands atop the ACC! Give Brownell that extension!

Guess who is in LAST place. Hahahaha
i wonder how long Hubert Davis is going to be able to milk last year's tournament run

i don't think he has it as a coach, tbh. he has constantly let Caleb Love shoot his team out of games the past two years. he was good today, though, VT just scored on UNC at will today.

and holy fucking shit, Justin McKoy (UVa transfer) is still on that team. he's only played in three games this year. i wonder how much he regrets his decision to transfer to UNC. I completely forgot about that dude. He picked UNC over Wake.

The Rams Club aren't ready to fire him after beating K in his last home game and last final four. But when they miss the NCAA Tourney or can only make it to the NIT he may be done.

Man, the contenders are so bad this year Nova might not be out of it yet.

Well, maybe I wouldn't go that far, but it's bad...

Hokies bitchslapped UNC right out of the Top 25

gotta think that Kenny Payne is going to be one and done at Louisville
