ACC Basketball

Whelp, UVa was obviously a pretender.
 
This Duke team is terrible right now. If Filipowski cannot hit from three and Roach can't score they are in trouble. I see them with double digit losses easily. They already have three losses. Add an ACC Tourney and NCAA loss and that's five as we speak.

Beat VT next game, and it would take an upset to keep you from getting to 12 wins in league play. Duke/VT is two. Beat UL, FSU, BC(x2), Clemson, ND(x2), NC St, GT, Cuse. That's 10 you'll be favored in most likely. Get one of @unc, vs. UVA, @Pitt(most likely a win of this group), @Duke, vs. unc, @miami and @ NC St to get to 13, which I think would be enough. I feel a lot better about Wake's chances at this point than I did last year.
 
Pitt running Cuse out of the gym. Pitt might not be the tire fire I thought they were. Cuse most definitely is. Lol @Boeheim. Dude needs to give it up. The Dome has no atmosphere left. Actually kind of sad, that place used to be awesome, when it was going good.
 
Damn, I'd rather get blown out like they were at the half instead of losing like that. Far too inconsistent right now to be considered a title contender.

feel like Wake's team was so much more pleasing to watch last year but the schedule was so weak.

tbh, i'm more focused on Q1 wins. last year's Rutgers team proved that losses don't matter as long as you beat top teams. VT, @ UNC, UVa, @ Duke, @ Miami, @ NCSU, @ Pitt.

i just can't get a good feel on this Wake team. i think they are still coming together and trying to define their roles. i like when Appleby, Hildreth, Monsanto, Carr and Marsh are on the court together. I think that is their best five. Williamson is a good guy to have off the bench but Hildreth has clearly surpassed him. Carr is who I thought LaRavia was going to be last year. Good fundamentals, can shoot and above average at finishing around the rim. LaRavia turned out to be much better than that and that is why he is playing with the Grizzlies right now.
 
UNC/Michigan is pretty important, tbh. a win will probably keep UNC in the top 25 but a loss would definitely push them out and enhance a struggling Big Ten team
 
BC beats VT. This is the problem when the bottom of the league is awful. If they beat a tournament team it knocks them down significantly. Probably going to be a Q4 loss.

i was super shocked when i found out VT has 3 Q1 wins

and yeah the ACC should fine Louisville for being so bad this year. anything can happen in conference road games.

FSU too. And even ND and Cuse are 150+ teams. You get upset by one of them on your home floor and that's a Q4 loss. And it wouldn't surprise me to see one of them beat a middling conference team, like a Pitt, Clemson NC State etc..
 
3 team race between Miami, Pitt, and Clemson atop the conference. Don’t see anyone taking it from them, imo.

I think it'll probably end up being Q3 by the end of the season so I'm not sweating it much. For whatever reason, we really struggle playing at Boston College. Been that way with a few coaches too. Some kind supernatural voodoo shit going on

Yeah, you may be right about it sneaking into the lower end of Q3. It sucks because a loss like this is one that drops you from a 5 seed to a 7/8.
 
We're probably gonna take a step back. Hunter Cattoor, arguably our best player, hurt his elbow in the BC game. They're listing him game to game but won't specifically say the injury. Rumors are its a small break and he'll be out closer to 2 months.

Man that sucks. He's great in his role. Tough to really replicate what he does. Hope it's not to serious.
 
I dont have to watch the game to say your defense is horsehit when a 6'4 guard shoots 14/17 from the floor and doesnt make a single 3.
