THE Game #3TTUN @ #2tOSU Noon on Fox.

Depends on how the rest of the games fall. If TCU and USC win out...no they don't. If TCU or USC lose then yes they do.

As we speak LSU is getting boat raced by A&M. The Vols gave up 62 points to Scar. And we are discussing Bama? That's absolutely ludicrous to me. That we would discuss a 2 loss non conf champ who lost to two teams with 6 losses (provided LSU loses to Georgia) over one who lost to an undefeated team.
Yea FWIW, I don't give a shit about Bama. They are done for this year. But my question was simply if things fell they way we expected did you still feel OSU should get in?

No. But I don’t know if I’d rather get blown out in the playoff or possibly lose to some schlub like Oregon or Washington in the Rose Bowel
I think OSU would beat Oregon. Oregon St thinks so too

Like I said If TCU and USC both win out they deserve it

Do I think OSU is better than TCU? Absolutely. But the results matter.

With Clemson losing this is a 5 team race with Bama in 6th. If Bama jumps OSU we may as well say the results of the games mean nothing if Bama is involved in the conversation.

Hell...how the heck is Bama ranked ahead of the Vols lol

I’m sure. I regretted agreeing to it immediately

Haha I honestly only said it to mess with you about the troll postings. My immediate thought was "holy shit, he said yes. Ah well I just say if he really wants to feel obligated then donate it to something". Anyway, appreciate it. I'll buy the kiddos some extra stuff this year and tell em Santa is a crazy man from Georgia

It's been mentioned a few times. I don't want a playoff spot. We don't deserve it. Let someone else back in. Maybe we can head to the Rose and try to get revenge on Oregon if they happen to get picked.

Lol yes the game plan by Day was great if you are Michigan

If Ohio State executes correctly in the first half they are up by 3 scores. They were moving the ball fine on the intermediate stuff.

Once momentum shifted though, they got in their own heads and that was it.

Our defensive backfield really needs to get some shit figured out. Our d line next year is going to be really good but, it doesnt mean shit if they d backs just let people run past them.

Think my favorite was the first score of the second half where the two UM players ran into each other and one STILL managed to get wide open deep

I am in favor of Conference Champions in the playoffs, but that not the rules. ohio state is still in the picture. Below is the way I see it.

1. Georgia (no lower than 3 if they lose and Michigan and TCU win)
2. Michigan (I think they are more guaranteed to make the playoffs than beat the Purdue Spoilermakers)
3. TCU
4. USC

Waiting in the wings
5. Ohio State
6. Alabama

Michigan could probably lose and still make the playoffs lol.

I really hope one of TCU or USC loses and OSU sneaks in and not both so Bama has a case.

If Bama makes it this year they may as well rename the playoffs the Alabama invitational

This is definitely a thing.

Day going away from the scramble is remarkably dumb.

Urban depended on JT too much. Day has rendered a fast qb (not fields fast though) immobile.

I would even take going to the check downs faster. Multiple times yesterday Stroud held the ball way too long waiting for receivers to get open downfield when the RB or TE was standing wide open. Then, by the time he decided to throw it, they had someone barreling down on them.

In the end, Day is 1-2 against Michigan with a playoff win and a really good record otherwise. I'll give him one, maybe two more seasons before I declare him John Cooper 2.0 and demand his firing.

I don't want you to have a playoff spot ... I think y'all would beat us.

Many don't realize how fortunate we were. People will see a final score and build a story around it. You speak the truth.

Yea. He's bought time but that was a very poor coaching display

What committee would do: This is lower on the list because Michigan shouldn't lose to Purdue. (But nobody thought SEC West champ LSU would lose to a seven-loss Texas A&M team, either.) Michigan would have the head-to-head win over Ohio State and arguably better wins than two-loss Alabama -- but the worst loss of any of them, to unranked Purdue (8-4). The committee would almost certainly honor the head-to-head victory over Ohio State since it was so convincing and earned the Wolverines the Big Ten's East Division title, boiling the debate down to Michigan and Alabama.

Michigan's wins against No. 2 Ohio State and No. 11 Penn State are more impressive than Alabama's wins against No. 23 Texas and No. 20 Ole Miss, but this is where Michigan's nonconference schedule would again be scrutinized. The entire Big Ten could be left out because Michigan's wins -- against Colorado State, Hawai'i and UConn -- came against the second-weakest nonconference lineup in the FBS. Michigan looked so good against Ohio State, though -- better than Alabama's offensive line has played this season -- and did it without injured star running back Blake Corum. Best guess: The committee sticks with Michigan, and that seems even more likely if Ohio State is above Alabama on Tuesday night.

That would be a fucking travesty if they put Bama in over Michigan in any scenario.
Who would have thought Alabama, Clemson and ohio state out of the playoffs? ohio state is easily the most worthy of the three. The real question is; Is Georgia beatable?

Yes I believe Georgia is beatable.

the narrative that Georgia is just going to run over everyone in the playoff is bizarre, tbh.

They should be the favorites, but this is the same team that struggled with 6-6 Missouri and kept it close w/ 7-5 Kentucky. They can be beaten.
