Colorado offered Sanders their HC job. Like most Husker fans these days I feel like I am from Missouri because any new coach will have to “Show me”. I foresaw a downturn in Husker football when T. O. announced his retirement. I just didn’t see it lasting this long. I sure would like to see success for Rhule. He evidently wants to be here for the long haul.

Yes there definitely seems to be a repeating pattern going on.

Frost hasn't updated his Twitter account and it still says he's the head coach of Nebraska. (the tweet unavailable mentions that and I know that was accurate as of last week)

You're going to find a level of this at any program.

Rewarding the guys that got you there as well as having assistants that are already on the same page as you.

You'd have to look at things like experience. Frost's staff had largely G5 experience at the positions they were put in.
OC, DC, Strength and Conditioning, etc. They were in over their heads at the P5 level.
We'd have to break down Rhule's assts experience at the P5 level (or higher) level.

  • Roman Sapolu - Graduate Assistant Coach - Offensive Line
  • Andrew Seumalo - Graduate Assistance Coach - Defensive Line
  • Nick Smith - Graduate Assistant Coach - Special Teams
  • Tavita Thompson - Graduate Assistant Coach - Tight Ends
 
If we're going to break down Rhule's coaching staff, it's probably best to take it to the Husker page so we're not clogging up the CFB Forum with it.

I doubt many on this general forum care.
