Looks like Brent Key for Georgia Tech HC

Good hire if true

Ga tech is where coaches go to die...woukdve been better to keep building at tulane like fickle did at cincy. Then make a move to better opportunity.

weird take.

the three coaches before Collins went a combined 178-126. one of those guys was able to leverage his Tech tenure into the job @ Notre Dame until he fucked it up by lying on his resume about something stupid.

Huh? Outside of Collins, the ones right before him did ok.

and that has nothing to do with my post.

point is he was hired b/c of his success at Tech. he was fired b/c he lied about something retarded

Nothing agaisnt GT, but why move from Tulane to GT?
Sheesh, he is a win away from taking Tulane to the Cotton Bowl!
Ride the Wave Willie. Ride the Wave!

GeorgIa Tech is a sleeping giant of a program. In the metro Atlanta area there are 100,000 potential recruits.

They can do like Chapel Hill. Just get them in and set up no show classes.
The alums would never go for that. I’m telling you GT fans and alums are a different breed of nerd

False alarm. Now we are hearing Fritz will NOT be the new HC. I wouldn't come here either, not as toxic as Auburn but getting close.

But it's not. It's very similar to Vandy, Stanford, and NW. Academics first. Small alumni base. Bad facilities and so far no indication of any interest to improve them. You have to recruit against UGA and all the other schools that raid Georgia. It's an urban campus that is in a bad part of town. Anyone getting good is likely to transfer out. For current recruits zero history of being significant in football.

Their best hope is a gimmick offense. If you get a coach that can get them to 8-4 every year, he's gone the next year. Trust me, I live this as a Vandy alumnus.
