I've been following college football for 55 years. I am fully aware that it is cyclical. I am also fully aware that it isn't cyclical for certain schools that don't make it a priority. So, no, I am not acting like "shit won't happen again."Sure. Right now Georgia is besting the options. That won't last forever. The Sun doesn't shine on the same dog's ass everyday.
When Kirby Smart starts making decisions and becomes Kirby "Not So Smart". You act like that shit won't ever happen again.
So, if Ga Tech will:
- commit at least a half a billion dollars to their facilities
- talk their leadership and academicians into adjusting their academic rigor to get better players, but worse students
- somehow figure out how to get the B1G or the SEC to accept them in their conference
Then maybe, just maybe, they will be able to compete for NCs.
FWIW, you really don't have to lecture Dawg fans about the fact that it is cyclical and the cycle can take a long time to turn. We are fully aware of this phenomenon.
