We heard that after they lost to Georgia last year -- this was going to be the best Bama team we've seen.
Truth be told -- this is one of the worst Bama teams in Saban's tenure. The only reason they are #5 is because of the past success they have had. Georgia is the class of the SEC this year and it isn't even remotely close.
Bama's best wins this year are what? 8-4 Ole Miss? A&M won like 4 games -- they almost beat Bama. Texas was 8-4 or 7-5 (not sure what they were this year), but they lost Ewers in the 1st quarter and still almost beat Bama. If Ewers doesn't go down -- I'd bet my quite a bit they would have, because Bama's defense, especially their secondary is nothing like they were in the past. Ewers throw for like 150 yards in the 1st quarter. Tennessee was without Cedric Tillman when they faced Bama and they still threw all over them. Hyatt caught what -- 5 tds passes?
You are talking about Bama as if it is the dominate Bama teams of year's past. That isn't this year's team. Their secondary can be exploited, they don't have a Waddle, Ruggs, DeVeon Smith, Jameson Williams. I'd bet a lot of Bama fans are happy they aren't 4th having to face Georgia, as I think Georgia would blow them out.
