What I hate about the casinos close enough for a day trip(Murphy and Cherokee, NC) is it doesn’t matter how much you’re betting or losing, you’re still paying for your drinks.

Have to go to Biloxi or New Orleans for a casino where drinks are free

I don’t know, but I do know the Wal Mart in Mitchell, SD sells liquor. Arkansas is the duck hunting destination, but I haven’t been out there yet.

Those casinos aren’t exactly tiny, but I’m not sure. The table games there used the same machines as the casino in New Orleans used.

Murphy is only like 45 minutes from me, but it doesn’t have poker, so I play Mississippi Stud and Ultimate Hold Em. Cherokee has a poker room, but I really only go there when the WSOP qualifiers are going on

I’m not a big fan of duck. The pheasants I kill, my favorite thing to make with em is pheasant and dumplings, but I also like fry em in a deep fryer like you would a chicken.

Ugh I have terrible luck at Mississippi Stud. I know there isn't a whole lot of difference but for some reason and do much better at Let it Ride but the last few times I've been to a casino they haven't had any tables with it available

I’ve only came out a winner at Mississippi Stud a handful of times, and I’ve lost way more than I’ve won, but all it takes is quads one time and you’re golden.

I just started playing UHE recently, and it’s more of a grind, but I’ve actually came out ahead playing that game, just sticking to my system. Quadruple up pre flop with A-J or pocket 8’s or better, double up after the flop with top pair or better, or just call after the river with any pair or better

Never played one of the casino table hold em games. Just the actual sitting down and playing with others. Always like poker bc at one time I was a pretty good player and it's the only game in that casino where your odds are as good as you are, casino doesn't care how much money you take off of other people as long as they get their rake every hand.

Generally I don't have enough time to sit down and play a poker game properly now so I stick to let it ride if I can find it or good ole blackjack
 
All the most important bowl games should be on New Years Day and then CFB season should be over.

I love poker, and I’ve made a decent amount of money playing it, but unless a big event is in town, there’s better action at home games than at casinos around here. If I were to go to Cherokee on a non event weekend, all you’re gonna find are nits and old people that think raising preflop should be banned.
