More than H2H/shared opponent outcomes? Come on. If you're ranking them based on Hooker being out you should also take into account that Young won't be playing.

Link to Youngs statement before Selection Sunday that he's sitting out?

Alabama didn’t deserve the 5 spot or the Sugar Bowl over Tennessee
Is there a gayer internet response than this?I accept your surrender

Agree. Absolutely it is up to them. Those teams from the same conference won semifinal games against other conferences representatives. I take the same approach to those griping about the same teams getting into the CFP year after year. Here's an idea. Why don't some of you other B1G teams beat Ohio State and Michigan? Why don't some of you SEC teams beat Bama and Georgia. (OK, OK, LSU did have that one year.) Why don't some of you Big 12 teams beat Oklahoma? (OK, OK, TCU did....finally). Why don't some of you ACC teams beat Clemson? (OK, OK FSU did the first year but that was a long time ago. I don't know what to say about the PAC 12.People like to complain about two conference mates meeting in the NCG, but it’s up to the teams they’re playing to prevent it from happening. Clemson and Oklahoma had the chance to prevent a UGA-Bama NCG in 2017, but didn’t. Michigan and Cincinnati had the chance to prevent it last year but didn’t
Can’t really defend 2011 since Alabama had no business being in over Oklahoma State and there was no first round
But if the two best teams are from the same conference and they can prove it in the playoffs, that’s the matchup I want to see
But I do agree that OSU should have been the 3 seed this year since then at 4 gives the 1 seed a tougher opponent than the 2 seed, but as if you’re in, it’s a take on all comers mentality or you lost before the game even kicked off
Ah. You’re right. Editing quotes is gayer.Probably not.
Just curious. Why do you think so? Vegas thinks the skunk weasels are going to roll. That said, I think UGA wins by 2 scores at least and we don't really even have to worry about it this season.
Michigan - TCU might be interesting
The lines in Vegas are more put out to get equal money on the game. I think the bigger line was made to draw interest for TCU, as the books know with the size of the UM fan base, that they are going to be putting in bets and likely many more than TCU fans will. If I saw it correctly - It opened at 9.5 and is already down to 8. My guess is -- it will be down to around a TD by the time the game is played.Just curious. Why do you think so? Vegas thinks the skunk weasels are going to roll.
Get used to it. You are regularly going to see 6-8 SEC and B1G teams in. My guess is post 2026 you will see lots of all SEC finals, and a lot of SEC v B1G finals. Too much money advantage. The expanded playoff could make things interesting. It will likely benefit the big programs. Get a school who loses a few early on due to injuries or new QB learning the system but is really hot at the end of the year and they can make a run.
I have no doubt UGA and Bama were the best 2 last year. Its just any time its a game b/t 2 conference foes, the national interest drops a bit.
Losing by 69 to USCjr and being thrashed by UGA is why Bama was in front of UTjr.The best part... Tennessee drops like a rock bc they lost Hendon Hooker. Then Hendon Hooker doesnt get invited to New York. How can that much importance be placed on a player when it comes to rankings but you don't say he is one of the four best players?

* Vegas may think UOM will win, but the spread is about trying to split the bets 50/50.Just curious. Why do you think so? Vegas thinks the skunk weasels are going to roll.
Huh? I'm not sure I'd call Kent St, Mizzou, or Kentucky games "thrashings"South Carolina loss looks bad. Georgia has thrashed every team they face. I don't think two non common opponents should overcome a H2H and a common opponent

Here's the problem with H2H ... in my opinion the Bama game with UTjr was a statistical push. If those two teams played on a neutral field 10 times, who wins? I have Bama at least 7-3. They aren't going to have 17 penalties, UTjr (like UGA did) had the home field which was worth at least 1 TD, etc. And then the LSU game was two different LSU teams - one early in the season with a new coach, the other later. One was an 11am game, the other a night game - that's huge in Red Stick. Like the transitive property of football, comparing results like that is questionable.South Carolina loss looks bad.
