UCLA Will Have To Pay Reparations To Cal

Depends. In 5 years do they just ask for more? When does it end?
Whatever the agreement ends up being, I'd think that 'that particular issue' would be addressed, as that would definitely be a big concern.

But then again... This is Cali we're talking about. :heh:

True. But no one will convince me that Purdue brings the same viewership to the B1G as Ohio State and Michigan. But they get the same cut from the networks. They're riding on a titty wagon as well.
Purdue is way down the list of viewership for the B1G. Ohio State and Michigan are at the very top of all of CFB, not just the B1G. Purdue only brings in like 650-700k viewers per game.

That being said -- Purdue is an original member of the Big Ten back in 1896, so they've earned their stripes. Only Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and I think Minnesota have been in the Big Ten since it originally formed. Heck it wasn't even the Big back then, it was the Western Intercollegiate Conference.

I know all that "charter member" crap. Still doesn't mean they aren't living off the milk someone else is putting in the titty. And those who are putting the milk in there don't seem to mind. I guess UCLA doesn't mind Cal sucking off their milk either.

Perhaps they do. The schools are under the same umbrella, so that's what it is.

You can cry that it is unfair, but there's certainly nothing illegal about it.

Sueing someone doesn't require an illegal act.

Most UC schools are not in the PAC.

And?

What does that have to do with your "has any UC school sued the regents" question?

You threw it out there like it means something.

Have either of the UC schools in the PAC tried to leave before.

California is like a completely different world. Some of the stuff they do in that state just makes you shake your head.
I have a very, very good friend of mine who is a Cal Grad and a big sports fan with season tickets to the Bears. We have travelled together for sporting events (Cal and Other) together for 25 years.

I was talking to him the other day, and we were discussing the potential outcome for Cal Athletics. I stated that I would personally love both Cal and Stanford in the Big Xii, but they are a non-starter because they are not interested in the Big Xii. He brought up the Academic Card, which made me laugh. I mentioned that while Cal, UCLA, Stanford, USC and Washington are definitely at a certain level, the rest of the Pac Schools are no different from the Big Xii schools academically.

Crickets from him about that. I find it odd that Cal and Stanford would rather cut off their nose to spite their face. USC and UCLA are leaving. So, they have four realistic options IMO: A re-constituted Pac with a few MWC additions. UW and Oregon leaving and the Pac leftovers merging with the MWC, going Independent in Football and joining the Big West for other sports or joining the Big Xii. I find it odd that Cal would potentially turn down a Big Xii lifeboat offer if made - especially if other schools leave the Pac.

That yearly stipend will help pay off that $321 million spent for retrofit on Cal’s Memorial Stadium since it was built directly on top a fault line.

Also affectionately known as the Medium 5.

Irrelevant.

Learn how the UC system works, then come back

Cal doesn't want anything to do with Baylor, TCU and BYU.

Sheesh, they have been okay dealing with those Methodists @ USC all of these years. :)
Seriously, they need to get over their intolerance of others.
Meanwhile, Big Xii has a big tent!

Yeah, Cal is the 180 of the "holier than thou" group.

Why? Because you made a meaningless statement and tried to pretend it wasn't?

You continue to post worthless drivel, while ignoring that the school cannot sue the UC system
