I'm not afraid to say that I like some George Michael. I even dug on Wham back in the day.

I can't remember what my first cassette tape was. Might have been the Miami Vice soundtrack. Loved that shit. My first CD was Motley Crue's Girls, Girls, Girls.

I agree that it was the worst for popular music.
I agree that popular music has always sucked.

That said, most of the good rock bands that put out some quality tunes in the '70s got gay as fuck in the '80s (see Van Halen & Rush for starters).
