Colorado Fans are delusional

That’s not a surprise, right? But it’s not close to enough to compete for even a conference championship. Terrible team, flashy hire. Can only get better. Can’t go down. Question is how far up he can go.

He's been on the job, for what 6 weeks? The fact that he has them in the top 30 of the recruiting rankings is pretty fucking good. Colorado's avg recruiting rank the decade prior was 55.9. He's basically cut that in half.

What's your expectation for Colorado. They've been pretty awful for 2 decades now, 2016 aside. This isn't the 80's and 90's anymore. I think the hire proves they are more committing to winning, so I think that's good for him. I'd say if he got them to a bowl game next year, that would be pretty good. As for moving forward, if he continues to land top 25/30 classes(which might be on the low end), he will have them in contention for P12 titles moving forward.

- He will jump as soon as he can to a new team that wants the hype to go from being irrelevant to mediocre.

I think the model where they are a decent around 8 win team per year with maybe a 10 win season and a run at the PAC title every like 3-5 years is attainable. Problem is will Deion stick around long enough to get to that point?

Gonna be interesting to see what Coach Prime can do.

At the P5 level, he won't have the talent advantage he did at the HBCU level.

We'll see if he can actually coach.

He had some kids on his team that never would have chosen an HBCU without him being there.

What makes you think Colo would beat Nebraska? No one turns a team around that fast. They were what, 1-11 last year? His son isn't that good a QB, and none of the freshman should contribute. Nebraska may have had some tough times, but they will be far more talented than Colorado. And a better coach. CSU seems a W, then 4 losses.

USC go 4-8 to 11-3
TCU 5-7 to 13-2

and its only been since 2019 that Colorado did beat Nebraska. there could be players still there that did that.

Difference here is that Colorado was beyond awful this year. All but 1 of their losses came by at least 23 points. with 7 of them coming by 30+ points.

The mentioned above were bad in 2021 but nowhere near as bad as 2022 Colorado was, they got a long way to go.

Michigan State has won the Big10 a few times with recruiting classes only in the 30s and 40s so Colorado may be able to do that in the PAC12.

They very well could. Their 2023 class ranks 3rd in the PAC-12 (29th overall), and one of those schools will be leaving in a year. UCLA's the next PAC-12 school at #35, and they're also leaving soon.
