That’s not a surprise, right? But it’s not close to enough to compete for even a conference championship. Terrible team, flashy hire. Can only get better. Can’t go down. Question is how far up he can go.
He's been on the job, for what 6 weeks? The fact that he has them in the top 30 of the recruiting rankings is pretty fucking good. Colorado's avg recruiting rank the decade prior was 55.9. He's basically cut that in half.
What's your expectation for Colorado. They've been pretty awful for 2 decades now, 2016 aside. This isn't the 80's and 90's anymore. I think the hire proves they are more committing to winning, so I think that's good for him. I'd say if he got them to a bowl game next year, that would be pretty good. As for moving forward, if he continues to land top 25/30 classes(which might be on the low end), he will have them in contention for P12 titles moving forward.
