I'm gonna call it now and say UNC doesn't make the tournament. They only have one win over a projected tournament team, and have a pretty tough schedule down the stretch. Their only true road wins are against Cuse(barely) and UL.

the issue is that Deacs did not pay for players. until recently they had the worst NIL situation in the ACC. fwiw, Deacs had been the favorites to land a few top 50 guys in the last two recruiting cycles but were mysteriously dropped at the last second. it is believed that is due to a lack of NIL money.
Pitt fans on r/collegebasketball are claiming the same thing. They haven't paid a dime.
Miami is a different story and Boeheim is probably right about them.

tbh, i think he's equally pissed off about the portal and NIL. Deacs haven't used NIL but Forbes has been awesome in the portal. he's built his program that way.
