Sevilla not what they once were in recent years either. Simeone at Atletico I wonder if this is his last season. It was nice run.

Nah. With Simeone and Atleti it’s more than just records and titles. There’s a great series on Amazon Prime about him and Atletico.

If/when he decides to leave, it’ll either be to manage Argentina, though he’s been very critical of how the AFA is ran and interfered with so it would need a massive overhaul, or he’ll retire for good. With what he’s built at Atletico, he’s a bit like Alex Ferguson at ManU, can’t really see him managing anywhere else.
 
Well that sucks. Go undefeated in the Group and get PSG. The other German clubs might have it easier except Leipzig..... but at least we didn't get Liverpool. Real vs Liverpool and Bayern vs PSG in Round of 16. Doesn't seem right. Should be able to play your own country here. If I had to pick I would prefer PSG. One thing about PSG, they won't dominate possession against big clubs. Counter attacking with Neymar, Messi, and Mbappe. Bayern right side with Mazroui, Pavard and Upamecano will have their work cut out for them.
 
AC Milan vs Spurs. Should be a very close matchup. If we can get our full squad healthy and maybe pick up someone in the winter to add to the roster, I like Spurs' chances.

It is a good matchup for the Spurs. Nobody got a better deal than Benfica though.

Personally, I'm just thrilled we didn't pull PSG. Doesn't mean we beat Milan, I just feel better about it. :LOL:
 
Well here we go. For some, football has ended. Not me. The business part of the season begins today and the real fun begins.

PSG vs Bayern.
Spurs vs Milan.

Wish Bayern was on CBS today and not Paramount+. On Comcast at times it hangs, and have to exit and return. On laptop no isses.
 
I was optimistic about Spurs' chances until this past weekend. Injuries suddenly hit the squad hard, most notably Bentancur's ACL.
Might be parking the bus today and hope to win at home in the return fixture.

Actually have you seen Milan lately? Completely collapsed in the new year. I saw the Bentancur injury. Sucks. Bayern racked with key injuries with Neuer and Hernandez out for the season, Mane still not healthy and Mazraoui COVID pericarditus. PSG has been shit lately too. Lost 4 games already in New Year. Games could be interesting today. Really don't know what is going to happen.

Yeah, I realize that after I posted it. And it’s actually CBS carrying the games. And they’re carrying a game tomorrow and one game Tuesday Wednesday next week. This is a new thing as far as I know but I’m not complaining. Must have something to do with the US men’s team doing fairly well at the World Cup.

Yea I missed it being on TNT (I believe that's what it was) a few years back.

Felt like a step backwards going to Paramount.
 
Hearing Mbappe not healthy enough to start and will play last half hour. Best to get a lead early.

There is always the Spanish channels. TUDN and Univision have the game on Cable I think.
