Ryan Day and OSU now running scared from Washington

Outside Clemson and Ohio State there isn’t a decent team there. But Georgia is doing better than most.
You never know how teams are gonna be in future matchups. Florida State could be back by the time those games happen and Clemson could be back to what they were in the 00’s. Hell, there’s no guarantee UGA will still be good for those games down the line

- FSU went 10-3 last year, and is top 10 this year in most too-early polls. They are cycling back.
- 4 games against Clemson.
- We had 4 games against OU and Texas that are obviously not going to happen now they are IC and not OOC.
- UCLA has decent teams.
- NCState is top half ACC team.
- We had Clemson, ND, and Oregon in the last 7 years.
- GaTech every year, even though they are cycled down.

Name the team that has/had a better slate of OOC games. I am not sure how you define "decent" but it seems to me the P5 schools there are all better than just "decent" - even Lousville is a decent teams although they have been down as of late.

You guys have BC, ND, Oregon, Washington. We've played two of those, and would love to play BC and Washington.

Not sure why you had to go there.

I would say without a question, yes. We only allowed 2 teams to score more than 31 against us, and they were ranked 5th and 6th in the nation in scoring.
which schools were those?

You think those OL are going to Texas now because of Sarkisian? Please tell me you don't. They go to Texas because you guys give them a base salary of 50k.
Yes well he and Flood.. wait you think UT was the only one who gives money in NIL deals? I guess Mario and Miami asked him to come there for free which is the reason why he didn't go, right? Again, we were getting out recruited along the offensive line by G5 schools.. Herman totally fucked this roster..

Wow. You really do have blinders on. You think Texas all of a sudden became a spot for top OL because of Sarkisian and not the $200-250,000 over their college career to "support charitable causes" to EVERY SCHOLARSHIP OFFENSIVE LINEMAN?

Maybe they are all selecting Texas for the tremendous success the program has had the last 10-15 years or the tremendous success Sarkisian has had as a head coach -- I mean, he is 57-46 as a head coach.

Just stop. Just understand -- Texas has, by far, the best offer to offensive lineman recruits and is on par with Georgia, who i've heard gives a base 50k to every recruit. Will Texas sign all the top OL? No. Schools will outbid them or some simply won't want to go to Texas, but rest assured, the influx of top OL recruits is the result of your NIL, not Sarkisian.

bro chuck strong recruited better OL than Herman.. why are you stuck on thinking herman didn't fuck this roster up? Herman let two LEGACY kids go to Bama.. Like how do you mess those recruitments up? Another reason why he was done.. lost the Brock twins, lost quinn

Let? Kids want to, that's why they choose Alabama. It is why so many Texas kids in the last decade chose to go to Ohio State. They want to compete for titles.

Here is a quote from Quinn Ewers on why he chose Ohio State:
Probably because a Texas team hasn’t been in the running for a national championship in a little while. And I don’t know about other guys, but like me I just, I just want to compete at the highest, highest level.
You can try to spin it however it you'd like, but NIL is how Texas has been able to secure as many top recruits recently, not Steve Sarkisian. Dollar signs is the great equalizer. Do you also think Texas A&M signed the classes they have because of Jimbo Fisher?

I wish Texas would get their head out of their ass and start doing something, so their top recruits stop fleeing to Ohio State.

bro.. did you know Herman was talking bad about him to people he thought was close to him at the time? Quinns parents got wind of it and that was that. So you think it was just money that brought Quinn back a year later? He would have come back if Tom was still on board?
BTW as i stated earlier, Tom had like 13 scholarship WRs.. His best ones were from the Chuck Strong classes (Duve Duvernay, Lil Jordan Humphry, Collin Johnson).. his best ones he brought in were.. Brenan Eagles, Jake Smith, Bru McCoy, Brenden Eagles, Joshua Moore.. those players flopped here.. He didn't even offer JSN til after he was committed to tosu. Hopefully his last WR under sark, Jordan Whittington bucks the others that came under him and has a big Sr season.

BTW it's been a while since tOSU has recruited the top players in TX.. but again why would you know that?lol you think Tom was building something special here (yet there were no players drafted from Texas last season)..

Yeah my fault on Herman. I didn't realize he was doing so bad on the recruiting front, I only saw records and thought he was doing good. Makes sense now why Texas let him go if all your posts are 100% correct (which I believe they are).

Ewers came back to Texas because he wasn't going to be the starting QB at Ohio State and from seeing how he fared at Texas, you can see why he wasn't going to be the starter at Ohio State.

And you keep talking about prior coaches at Texas, as if I said anything about them -- I simply said, NIL is what has helped Texas in recruiting, not Sarkisian. You are acting like Sarkisian is this dynamic coach and kid's can't wait to play for him, when the guy's record as a HC is 58-47 while coaching at Washington, USC and Texas. In 10 years as a Head Coach -- he has lost at least 4 games in every year, but 1 and that year, he was fired after week 5.

As far as OSU not signing top recruits from Texas -- they signed 63rd ranked nationally Arbor from Texas this past year. The year before that, they signed not one, but two 5 star recruits from Texas, the year before that, they signed 5 star Ngjiba-Smith from the state, the year before that, they signed 5 star Garrett Wilson. Do I need to keep going?

Trust me -- it is a common topic here in the Midwest. We are all rooting for Texas to get their shit together so top recruits from the state stop going 2,000+ miles to go to OSU.

Bro Sark has helped TEXAS in the recruiting front.. His ass is the one that got Xavier Worthy here.. Yes NIL is paying dividends when it comes to players too, but you act like money is the only thing that brings them here.. In fact, I would bet money that Banks would have flipped to UT had Cristobol stayed in Oregon.. Not because of the 50k, but because his mom is having severe health issues and it's closer home in Austin than it would be in Eugene.

Sark also grabbed a #1 class at SC before he got canned too.. I think the guy knows how to recruit. He brought in Kyle Flood who is much better than the two jokers Herman brought in Austin.. Wareheim or whatever who lost Walker Little to Stanford.. and of course the Rakim cover man himself, Herb Hand.. So yes.. I do think Sark and Flood are the reason why we have a talented OL room.. more than what we have seen in UT since the mid 2000s.

You bring up Arbor like he was heavily recruited by us, aggy or even ou.. I mean why don't you go ahead and bring up Braylon James.. what a HUGE blow for us not to grab him either lol.. JSN was certainly a loss.. so was Wilson DESPITE him being from Columbus and had siblings still there.. His commitment there didn't sting as much as the Brocks at the time because unlike Wilson, the Brocks were legacy..LEGACIES.. But it warms my heart that the #2 ranked OT couldn't even get on the three deep at Bama.. who also had issues. Perhaps he will do well at TCU this season.. which brings me to another point... Ewers could have gone there or Tech, but he chose UT.. Perhaps his heart was always here....and Tom was given the boot.

Oh yeah you can go back....check out the 2016 class for UT..where all the UT leans ended up in Columbus..geez I wonder why.. Strong got canned and guess who was here..yep Tom Herman.. the guy who had Chaisson all wrapped up along with Walker Little.. to just fumble the bag the week prior to NSD.. Don't believe me? Why don't you google the Noah Cain story.

I think the reasoning behind these cancelation may be due to the B1G expansion. We have USC and UCLA joining next season. I believe there may be behind the scene of adding UW and Oregon as well. This is just a troll job from the OP. The Buckeyes are definitely not scared. Ohio State Al's I has to payout $5 million to UW. I'm sure they are not posing sleep over this either.

Bro it was bad, our roster was jacked.. He got high recruiting ratings because he was taking nothing but skill players.. his highest OL take was a top 100 player, that didn't even start here.. he ended up falling in love making beats and hit the portal over a year ago (Jaylen Garth).
Maybe with the portal he could have salvaged it, but he alienated everyone.. Look my neighbor is Garrett Buchele.. when i first moved into my home we both walked with the neighbors in our cul de sac on Halloween.. That's when he revealed that his younger brother is Shane Buchele.. he told me how Tom alienated the entire team with his tough man act.. He told me some more shit but I promised I wouldn't go telling message boards but trust me it was some of the dumbest things, that makes no sense in trying to build culture. He did mention that he thought Tom when he was on could be great but the problem is.. he is too arrogant in his ways to make adjustments.. and he relied on his fellow bro coaches who basically were yes men

I'm glad that experience is over..

thought it was just 500k?

are they gonna cancel UT in 2025 to ban us from playing in the house VY built?!?!?!

I think you are correct. My mistake.
