Nebraska Cornhuskers 2024 Recruiting Thread (Commit list in OP)

Alright guys... this list could change over the next week but here is what I have down for visits next weekend from 2024 prospects... yes... it's a big list. Reminder that I go with 247's composite ratings. Only exception I made was Peyton Lewis who is a 3-star on multiple sites so he will be a composite 3-star by the time 247 rates him.

As always, the list is fluid, but, as you can see... it's massive. 3 composite 5-star recruits, another 14 composite 4-star recruits and then quite a few highly regarded 3-stars as well. In total, I have 26 confirmed visitors that weekend.... There are some conflicting reports that Nwaneri is visiting, I put him on the list because both 247 and On3 have him as visiting but that could change. I could see a few more names added... Could see up to 30 visitors for the weekend from the 2024 class. And expect some 2025 names to emerge as well.

I don’t remember hosting this many high profile recruits at the same time since the Friday Night Lights camp back in the Riley days when Micah Parsons and all those guys came out.

Even then... I'm not sure we've ever had three or more 5-star caliber players from the same recruiting class on campus at the same time.

Big big recruiting weekend coming up this weekend... no new names to report for THIS weekend, BUT.... Willis Mcgahee II (yes... of that family...) visited a few days ago. 4-Star player, defense, likely a linebacker.

Doesn't look like a lot of new names are going to pop up nationally, but it sounds like Nebraska is getting some local kids in to see practice as soon as today. Caleb Pyform, the best OL in the state is at practice today, along with some others. Rhule is really doing his best to make a move.... this weekend is HUGE for recruiting. going to be interesting to see what comes of it.

Might recall that nebraska thought they had him in the bag but then UF offered some big bucks... Sounds like they didn't come through with their end of the bargain.

That wouldn't be the first one Florida's had issues coming through with on NIL.

would he even be eligible to play this year if he transferred again?

are we winning the ship next year:

Not sure... but he might be staying at Florida now... I think Nebraska has moved on

One note on the visit weekend - What I am hearing from multiple people is that this weekend was a solid weekend but that the goal was to set up a return weekend for these big names either at the Spring Game (April 22) OR sometime in the summer. So don't look for a large group of kids to commit off of these unofficial visits. This was a set up for more in the future... already you're seeing it pay dividends - all the 5-star guys said they would be back and almost everyone else as well. Would not be surprised if this group came again at the spring game or in the summer.

@footballnut did Dylan cancel the spring game visit?

From what I've heard there is no visit set up currently. Not sure if it will be out not, apparently his High school has spring ball scheduled in April. Only visit he has s up is Georgia in June.

Second commit of the 2024 class

Expecting news of a commitment here soon... to Nebraska that is.
