PAC News

Yes, I’m sure their bunch of years being good had nothing to do with it………
lol what years were those? under the two years with Herman? or was it the sumlin and art eras? Please tell me all of your fond memories of those really good squads

It depends On the situation but most likely having a quality athletic performance (particularly in football and basketball) is going to bring eyeballs. That’s why I figured they grabbed them. Otherwise yeah I’m not real sure why they added them.
lol what makes you think that they bring viewers?

Are you really pretending they didn’t have good teams this last decade? Like seriously?

wait..what good teams have they had that makes them a no brainer..2015? yeah they really turned the corner after that season...
The 4th most populated city in the country with a decent alumni base. Maybe that?
lol it's the most 4th most populated city.. that tunes in for UT, aggy, LSU games more than it's city school during the football season. I guess you probably think SMU and TCU have more people tuning (and filling their stadiums) in the DFW area than UT, aggy, and ou too huh?

wow look at the entire city of Houston tuning in for it's biggest game vs Texas Tech in week 2... :(

Who said anything about a no brainer? I’m just giving you why they could have been chosen.

SMU is being considered by the PAC. gee I wonder why?

As usual you give off this egotistical sense of self opinion that truly only UT fans could.

Just so we’re clear, no one said no brainer and being in the 4th largest city in America with a nice sized aluminum base is some of the reasons how one could say Houston could bring viewers. But please tell me How that’s wrong and how you are right lololololol

if they were really like that.. why didn't the Big12 add them when it was first formed? Why didn't they invite them in 2011? Why did the SEC not give them a look back in 1990? or 2011? Pac passed on them too in 2011.. I actually like the SMU to the Pac analogy.. Pac isn't dumb enough to do it at this point, the Big12 was (UH)

oh look:
"The SEC right now owns the city of Houston from a TV ratings standpoint," said University of Houston board chair Tilman Fertitta. "Those eyeballs in Houston are extremely important to the Big 12."
lol this was said when UT and ou were still part of the Big12.. UH pitch was to take Houston back lol.. Funny part is that the city isn't something the Big12 can "tap" into.. They already carry the SEC network, they carry both Fox channels and the 4 ESPN ones. Big12 already had access to the area.. there was no need for UH.

LOL

You didn't think that out very well, did you?

18 teams in the conference, but playing 4 of them will constitute "half the season".

Not to mention they'll likely split the travel to 2 at home and 2 away each season. So traveling to the left coast twice = "Half the season"?

Derp
I thought it out just fine but you seem to be oblivious to how bad that would screw you, but that makes it all that much sweeter and I fully endorse the B1G doing this.

Can't wait for the Oregon fans to hit Lincoln and you finally realize how much you don't want this to happen. Those idiots were calling into local Birmingham radio stations to troll before the 2010 national championship game with the most retarded takes you can imagine. Oh, you have no idea how ridiculously bad you will regret it if this happens.

Is traveling to two opponents on the left coast "Half the season" in any sport?

This is classic you taking a comment, finding one small reference and riding it like a pony to your delusion of grandeur.

It wasn't meant to be literal and you're smart enough to know it. But hey if you would be happy then more power to you and I'll pour one and drink in your honor the day it happens.

I promise you it will gloriously suck.

that was a fun trip. had some omaha steak. went to the site of the CWS. had some locals buy a round for me and my dad. only 2 bad things that trip. Helfrich insisting on going for 2 over and over. and Runza. if a sweaty armpit was a hot pocket thats a runza

because of UT dummie, remember when Houston was in the SWC?

PAC hasn’t added them yet because they are trying to prevent other current members from leaving. But if you look at the top 2 schools the PAC (allegedly) wants to Add it’s 1)SDSU and 2) SMU. Really not that hard to understand for anyone but a T sip

So my UH had some good years this decade fits. Thanks so confirming this dummie.

so they shunned UH.. to bring in TCU? all that despite Houston having a bigger population than Dallas?

They brought in TCU because of the success they had Prior. Which is kind of my point With Houston. This last decade Houston has been successful. That’s a more then fair reason why they were brought in.

Many agreed the B12 grabbed the best G5 teams when they added these 4. Of course hindsight is 20/20 but the PAC grabbing BYU instead likely doesn’t put them in the position they are in now. Thats why saying the B12 wishes it would have waited is BS. The PAC wouldn’t be (allegedly) crumbling now if they added them then.

many agreed based on certain factors. If they would have grabbed Boise and App state instead of BYU and Houston the conversation would probably still be they grabbed the best G5

SDSU has more wins over the last decade than all 4.
from G5 App state, Marshall, Louisiana, Memphis are behind UCF and Cinci but ahead of BYU and Houston
i also forgot to mention Boise State who has even more than SDSU. i started with SDSU because thats what the conversation was.
