Stetson Worthington Bennet IV to the Rams in the 4th

I bet they go ahead and let him have at least one season as a starter before they fire anyone.

Also, have you forgotten Wentz and Trey Lance?
You have to start em when you draft em that high.

Wentz was really good before his injury. I didn’t see enough of Lance to know he was a sure bust. I’ve seen a lot of Richardson.

He’d make a fine TE like that old VT QB that plays for Washington

I’m gonna have to disagree there about the floor and ceiling. Bennett’s ceiling is Chase Daniel/Chad Henne, long time backup with some spot starts.

AR’s floor is Jamarcus Russell
I agree with the ceiling of Bennett's, but disagree with AR's floor being Russell. Russell was a fat, non-mobile QB with a huge arm. Russell ran a 5.2 40 yard dash. AR is a physical athletic freak. AR ran a 4.4 40 yard dash.

I am not an AR fan, but with his athletic ability, speed and arm strength -- he will be in the NFL as long as he wants to be, because even if he never improves his accuracy, he will be able to make plays with his legs.

Yep, AR will get a long leash to get acclimated and adjust to the NFL game. The fact the guy who built an offense around Jalen Hurts in Philly is now in Indy bodes well for AR. He will let him play to his strengths instead of forcing him to be a drop back passer.

I do agree -- if AR doesn't work at QB -- he would be an absolute monster at TE.

Come on now. The way you are talking makes it sound like you've never watched a NFL game. AR-15 was drafted because he is bigger than most LB's, can run like a WR and has a cannon. Those are all things you can't teach.

I like Bennett, but he has average arm strength, which is just fine in college, but will kill you in the NFL. You have to throw guys open in the NFL and fit balls into extremely tight windows, which isn't something that you have to do much at all in college. He is also undersized and is already older than many starting QB's in the NFL.

My Lions spent the #1 pick in the draft on a Georgia QB who only completed 57% of his passes and threw 33 interceptions in college. They drafted him because of his size and his cannon arm.

The ceiling for AR-15 is ASTRONOMICALLY higher for the NFL than Bennett's ceiling. That's why AR-15 was drafted where he was.
This guy didn't THAT drive.....

Meh, he’s every bit as dumb as Russell. Wouldn’t be shocked if he is cut before his 5th year.

Indy may decline his fifth year option if he doesn't perform because of how much that 5th year would cost them, but he will have a job in the NFL for as long as he'd like because of the attributes you cannot teach. He could make Jamarcus Russell look like a genius compared to him and he will still be in the NFL way longer than Russell. That's what 6'4" 240 lbs and 4.4 speed gives you.

We’ll see, but at some point those measurables are gonna have start translating to football skill, which has never shown any ounce of.

Jamarcus Russell looks like Peyton Manning compared to Anthony Richardson

NFL scout consensus is Bennet was a 5-6 round talent. LAR took him in the 4th. Nothing but him failing to ever produce while other players drafted later than him make pro bowls is going to cool the homers tits.
Dude… he was basically a 5th rounder. The 4th round pick was 7 picks away from the the 5th round. You’re splitting hairs over picks 130-140 which are not a lot different than 6-7 round picks. You keep saying there was value there. Lmao

You’re so emotional over this guy it’s funny. Get a grip on the haterade

Perhaps so! I'm not saying anything else about your draft, just that you wasted the 4th rounder.

Clearly you don’t understand the draft process and how you can bust on any pick. Along with the fact that a 4th round DB has just a good a chance as starting as a 6th round DB. And QBs after the 4th this year were not anything special. Lol

Speaking of 6th round DBs we got the top college DB out of TCU and it was a steal. We got a 7th round safety from OKie St that could make noise too.

Bottom line there are late 1st round picks that won’t start and totally bust as well.

I can break this down a bit more if you need me to

Your inability to see reality through your homer glasses is clear, no need to break it down any more. Reaching 2 rounds ahead of the consensus on a 3rd string QB when your team needs a starter at every position and you are the 6th worst team in the league isn't what a good front office does.

You’re crying about this Georgia QB being a 5-6 round pick and how there was value in the 4th. Lol he was 7 picks away from the 5th

It’s simple draft equations man. You take a chance in the late 4th on a QB and pick up value later.

This isn’t difficult. You’re just Stetson triggered I guess

I just love this post.

“He’s a wasted pick. He was a 5-6 round talent. “

The guy was drafted 7 picks from the 5 round.

Not triggered at all, just injecting reality into the UGA and LAR fans that think was some sort of coup.

Which means he was drafted when?

You’re really splitting hairs between a late 4th rounder and the 5th round? Your panties/Jimmie’s are all up in your ass.

You don’t understand the draft process. Any draft pick 1-7 can bust. There is no difference in value between a late 1st and a 3rd rounder. Cooper Kupp is a perfect example. Same with 4-7 lol

Has anyone even on here said Stetson was going to be a good NFL QB?

Lolol

On a similar subject, with hindsight removed, Brandon Weeden has to the worst first round QB selection of the 21st century right?

Turned 29 during his rookie season and wasn’t all that good in college. Glad he got rich playing sports after minor league baseball didn’t work out for him though
