2024 Recruiting Thread

So OVs have started ... this is our biggest weekend until the season starts. UGA does a scavenger hunt on campus - Find Kirby Smart - they divide the recruits up and then combine with current players, coaches, their parents and the teams compete against each other. We've had great results in the past. You have to be one of the very top 24 or 25 recruits to get invited ... it's a coveted invite. We are expecting to pop a couple this weekend. Should be a fun weekend.

1... that's what girl scouts do

and 2.. quit lying about having to be the top 24/25 players.. y'all got a kid from TX there that's ranked outside the top 100

Well, the players seem to like the event a lot. And, no, there are obviously going to be a few that aren't in the ranking systems top 24 or 25.

You seem upset, and little jealous maybe?

why would i be jealous..UT has their big weekend next month and are only inviting the top 10 overall players composite wise to do a scavenger hunt for a Lamborghini..winner keeps it while the rest get 50k in a whataburger bag.. the rest of the players have to look for a range rover...

Obviously, only posting this because this is a recruiting thread. Pretty cool thing went down this morning.

Sammy Brown, the no. 1 LB, no. 5 in the Composite couldn't get to Athens this weekend, so Raiola got some of the WRs/TEs and got up early this morning before activities started in Athens and drove about 20 minutes to Jefferson Ga, where Sammy lives, to run a passing session. Sammy Brown is the white kid with the full head of hair.

Attending by ranking:

1 - Raiola QB (UGA Commit)
2 - Jeremiah Smith WR (tOSU commit)
3 - (2025) - Ryan Williams WR (Bama commit)
5 - Sammy Brown ILB (plays some O in high school)
45 - Nye Carr WR (UGA commit)
562 - Scovie White WR (UGA commit)
629 - Colton Heinrich TE

Pretty sure that Rivals UGASports.com was involved at some level as they had exclusive video. Others found out and started showing up.

Really cool to see all these top level talents get together to just hand and throw the ball.

I am joking on that ... we just landed a punter from Iowa. Huge recruiting weekend and we land a punter. More will come for sure, but that was a pretty funny way to start the weekend.

Simmer down it's softball season! But really this kid is from texas. He’s not an okie and he’s not from Durant. Just like the top player in the State last year than went to Michigan State. He only lives in Oklahoma for 2 years. Harder to get them when they have no ties or roots here and then to compete with money bags.
