We are a volleyball and women’s bowling school now. The difference we are already in the Big 10 and not begging to get in. The link he provided are sports like track and cross country that lose money. Not gonna be anything that makes anyone want themWhich sports does Nebraska succeed in nowadays?
Nothing more to be saidWe are a volleyball and women’s bowling school now
In essence it would be, because the only way Oregon is getting into the B1G is if Phil Knight writes a massive check, as they don't add anything and they lack the academics. Washington and Stanford would be my two guesses if the B1G takes two more from out west. This is a track move.

If we only bring in two teams and one of them is Oregon, it will be because Stanford or Washington turned them down (my opinion only, I haven't read anything on expansion in a long time). Those two schools academically make way too much sense for the B1G. They'd have to turn a blind eye to academics to bring in Oregon, which they have done. They turned a blind eye to it to add Nebraska, but Oregon isn't a blue blood, nor do they have a large market that'd add value to the conference.I think they will grab Oregon too... You get all three of the West Coast states.
Currently in the B1G Only PSU, tOSU & Michigan are wealthier than Oregon in terms of athletics. Since 2010 Oregon viewership would be in the top 5 in the B1G. They are the only school besides tOSU that has been to the final four in Football & both men’s and women’s bball. The three biggest sports. Yes they lack the academics, but they are an AAU school, on the field of play they should be the B1G’s first choice. If we only bring in two teams and one of them is Oregon, it will be because Stanford or Washington turned them down (my opinion only, I haven't read anything on expansion in a long time). The B1G couldn't care less 'how wealthy' Oregon is, unless Phil Knight is planning to cut a 9 figure check to get a B1G invite. Academics is why Oregon has been an after thought for the B1G and it is likely what will keep them out of the B1G.Currently in the B1G Only PSU, tOSU & Michigan are wealthier than Oregon in terms of athletics. I don't want you to think I'm talking down about Oregon -- if it were up to me -- I'd take Oregon and USC, give UCLA back. I'm just speaking as a lifelong B1G fan knowing how they view academics.Currently in the B1G Only PSU, tOSU & Michigan are wealthier than Oregon in terms of athletics. Honest question, why in the hell would either Stanford or Washington (or anyone not in the SEC) turn down the B1G?The B1G couldn't care less 'how wealthy' Oregon is, unless Phil Knight is planning to cut a 9 figure check to get a B1G invite. Oregon's best shot, IMO, is if Washington or Stanford turn the B1G down. Academically, both schools are exactly what the B1G looks for.
I've given up trying to understand anything coming from West Coast states. So turning it down would be asinine, but all the stories that come out from the West Coast tells me it is a completely different world than what I'm used to.Honest question, why in the hell would either Stanford or Washington (or anyone not in the SEC) turn down the B1G?
