You can see the Brooklyn tower of the Manhattan Bridge in the center of the photo. That tower is less than 4/10ths of a mile from my office.

The tall building -- barely visible -- just to the left is in Manhattan, about a mile away

Wow. Looks legit.

Yep. Wore one today for the first time in about a year. Somebody at the office was handing out N-95's earlier that were leftover. They told us all we could have worked remotely today, but I'm actually better off in the office. Old, drafty house with windows that need replacing...

We had our first drop of rain in damn near a month. And drop is the operative word.

Lack of water has kept the skeeter population down, though.
Other than the shaded parts, I’ve only mowed my lawn three times this year.

Yeah, most of my short grass is at crusty late-July stage. No campfires for a while. But I am keeping the boys well watered.

Edit: Girls. Feminized variety.
We had campfires over Memorial weekend. But they’re banned now.

Had a nice Forrest fire an hour north earlier this week. Since folks from Detroit don’t know to put water on a fire if you leave your campsite.

This is what it looks like here, too. Almost looks like it would right before a passing thunderstorm rolls in during the summer. Trees about 2 blocks away are hazy.
