Colin Cowherd take on Oklahoma

Well at least Tennessee has been relevant at one point and time tho

So you're still clinging to "only 1 team a year is relevant"

Enjoy the rest of your life with an irrelevant FSU squad

Dude. You were relevant in the 1st quarter of a Natty after we gave you the semi. How many fumbles in that game? I think it was 12

Lol Jameis wasn’t going back to back ships man.

How many teams are relevant in a year?

LOL

Twist shit however you want to put lipstick on a pig.

There's very little difference in the eight year spans. They're both shit.

In eight years at Oklahoma

Three losing seasons
One 5-5-1 season
One 5-4-2 season
One 6-6 season
One 7 win season
One 9 win season

Nebraska had 'One 9 win season' in this eight year span.
Nebraska had one 5 win season in this eight year span.
Nebraska had one 6 win season in this eight year span.

LOL

Are you implying that Oklahoma would have won those 12th games?
That works both ways, dumbass.
They could have just as easily lost some or all of them.

In other words....

1999 (7-5) could have been (7-6)
1998 (5-6) could have been (5-7)
1997 (4-8) could have been (4-9)
1996 (3-8) could have been (3-9)
1995 (5-5-1) could have been (5-6-1)
1994 (6-6) could have been (6-7)
1993 (9-3) could have been (9-4)
1992 (5-4-2) could have been (5-5-2)

That would/could have been five losing seasons out of eight or six non-winning seasons.

Carry on with your red herring.

I like this time frame better.

How many teams are relevant in a year?

not a team that gets their ass kicked in a Natty or the playoff.

Even so I can give you 1 year of relevancy. Beyond that nothing.

It’s not personal it’s just football lol

Perfect, so you acknowledge Oregon has been relevant.

Yes I gave you the year you got destroyed in the Natty. At least you were relevant in the 1st quarter of that game. You were the tallest midget that year for sure lol

Love me some Duck fans

STFU, idiot.

There are no ties now either, but you keep injection your dumbassery.

1995: (5-5-1) could have been (5-6)
1992: (5-4-2) could have been (5-6)
You are calling someone an idiot when you are trying to compare wins in a season during times when one team played 11 games and the other team played 12 games.

THAT is "dumbassery".

And to add to your stupidity -- in 95' -- they could have been 6-5. And in 92' -- they could have been 7-4.

But keep grasping at straws to try and compare two teams in different decades, when the teams didn't play the same amount of games.

LOL

You brought up the 11 vs 12 games.

Are you implying that Oklahoma would have won every 12th game?

I'm implying that comparing win totals is asinine, when one team played more games each and every year during the stretches you are comparing. You do understand that during the 8 year stretches you are trying to compare the two teams win totals, that Nebraska played EIGHT MORE REGULAR SEASON GAMES.

I'd think this would be common sense. One team played 88 regular season games. One team played 96 regular season games. Which team has a better shot to win more games?

What about the ties? Are you sure Oklahoma would have won those if there was OT back then?

The difference is huge.

And we don’t even know where Husker rock bottom will be.

No it's not. They both had horrible 8 year stretches. Cherry picking them is pointless.

I wouldn't expect much improvement from Nebraska this year. Rhule's first seasons at Temple and Baylor were bad.

Three losing seasons in a row was a long time ago in Lincoln.

If you were trying to have a comparison of futility back in 2018 or so, maybe you wouldn’t look so silly.

But here we are in 2023.

Are you under the impression the Sooners play in Lincoln, Oklahoma?
If so then I see the disconnect here.

Your original point implied Oklahoma has never been down ugly like Nebraska currently is.
I showed you that they've indeed been off the rails in an 8 year stretch.

Hard to see Oklahoma ever falling THAT far.

Instead of just admitting Oklahoma DID have a rough stretch in the 90's you had to cherry pick twist things with seasons and win totals to try and save face.

That you have WhoPhoneDis (a.k.a. TrustMeIAMWrong) nit-picking/cherry picking with you makes it all the more laughable.

Cowherd has already fizzled into irrelevance.
on the contrary, he has one of the highest-rated sports talk shows in America, might be THEE highest-rated.

Yer dumb.

And Oklahoma has never been as bad as Nebraska is now.

Stop while you’re behind pal.
