Sooners land 4-star wide receiver Ivan Carreon

Oklahoma Sooners have landed another commitment. Four-star wide receiver Ivan Carreon from Odessa, Tx, is a massive target for the Sooners.

He stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 195 pounds. He’s the exact kind of weapon that could help take this wide receiver room to the next level.
When do receivers that tall ever actually pan out though? Not to shit on the signing, but honestly I can't remember one.

Only guy off the top of my head is Plax. He was certainly good in the nfl, but he was a beast in college. Also, now that im thinking of MSU, Charles Rodgers seemed like the tall lanky type.

Edit Rogers was only 6'3.

We will be landing 3 more top 50 OL by the end of next week. This appears to be OL week, which is following DL week a few weeks ago. Gotta love the big uglies!

5⭐ Mike Matthews WR is commiting to Clemson 😍😍

This was a weird recruitment.. UT and ou were hot on him, then after the spring period ended.. Both stopped going after him. His tape looks good, guess they conceded to UGA early?

Not sure early, but it was a Michigan v. UGA final, with Bama a distant 3rd. We got his last OV and evidently closed the deal.

He's a big fucking human - 6'8" 325. Two years in our S&C program and he will be a hoss.

OL recruiting looked weak for a while, but we are going to end up with 6 solid OL: OL rank 9, 18 , 20, 40, 86, and developer. As good as the first 4 are, the 86th guy and the guy that is the development guy have the highest ceiling.

I'm holding out hope that the Baker smoke is real.. The staff really wanted Calhoun.. They viewed him as the LT to replace Kelvin Banks for the '25 season. The guys covering UT said it would have taken a miracle to grab him out of Atlanta over the likes of uga, Bama and TN

Burress was 6'5", which seems to be the cutoff.

Amazing that when I malign your intellect I misspelled "bright" ... so there you go.

Seriously, though, I've never understood people who don't want/dont' have time to read something actually have time to post something about it. Just don't read it.

It was a joke. No big deal

Quote about Uini and Baker … Offensive line coach Stacy Searels had the same reaction. Searels will be even happier if Uini can convince Brandon Baker to join the Bulldogs. Uini was working on him and feels it's down to Georgia and Texas for the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle.

Sorry guys. Baker is going to be a Duck

Gerry Hamilton (On3 UT) said yesterday that it is a tosu/UT battle, said Oregon has faded.. won't rule them out but he's close to putting in a CB/Forecast to UT for him

Baker is apparently into NIL, family wants a school that is close to travel by plane.. Thank goodness for direct flights to Austin by SWA :)

Yeah, I don’t think we are in on him heavy. Especially if NIL up front.

oh no.. y'all are heavy on the "NIL" portion too.. y'all signing up 4 OT prospects this cycle easily..

That’s not the way we operate with NIL. We have plenty of money, but you don’t get it till you get there. It’s a form over substance thing, but for those teams that attract players for other reasons, it’s the better way to do it.

We will actually have five or six offensive lineman.
