2024 Recruiting Thread

Yes, I was under the impression it was between ND and scUM before his OV at Ohio State. Think we are trending hard for 3 other big time defensive commits and are still in the race for 2-3 more.

These are the guys we gotta get if we want to take it to the next level and actually compete in a CFP game(under the current model). We're basically recruiting at the level we did with BK, which isn't what we were sold. Hopefully this staff can develop like BK's did.

This is shaping up to be a great class for OSU. Honestly, might be in line for the #1 class given who they are still in on.

What's the NIL picture like at ND?

It's definitely not what it is at SEC schools and OSU. It's a work in progress still. I'd compare it to that of Michigan, but probably not even that good.

Yeah it's still a long shot for Ohio State to get the #1 spot, but I'm happy it's even a possibility considering what it looked like a few months ago. Looks like we will make Georgia sweat again (in recruiting instead of a game) but still come up short IMO

I feel like they have the resources to get it built up. Are they just hesitant to preserve the student-athlete part of it all?

Which Oregon insider? Justin Hopkins (the top Oregon on3 person) was pretty confident Baker is headed to Oregon a few days ago.
yep him

Sooners land 4-star wide receiver Ivan Carreon

Oklahoma Sooners have landed another commitment. Four-star wide receiver Ivan Carreon from Odessa, Tx, is a massive target for the Sooners.

He stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 195 pounds. He’s the exact kind of weapon that could help take this wide receiver room to the next level.

lol man y'all paid Zach Evans money when he committed.. and that was before "NIL".

get off your high horse
The lies that homer will tell himself is hilarious.

So basically he said he’s got a lot of respect for his coworker but he’s not buying what he’s selling 😂
oh he's buying it.. but he's appeasing your base saying there is a lot of time and that it's BETTER that his announcement comes later

I'm thinking it's going to happen before his season starts

We are definitely in the running for KJ Bolden but IDK if we can pull him away from UGA/Bama
I definitely think we're taking the silver or bronze with him. That said, Gleitman came out this morning and said he feel better now about Bolden than he did last week when he predicted him to be in the class.

I don't think they are hesitant because of that, I just don't think that they care enough. The whole process has been stalled and delayed for like the past year or so. It's been frustrating, but hopefully that changes soon.

If Houston really is coming here, I'm hoping he is in Boldens ear trying to convince him to come up north. Getting both of them out of Georgia would be huge

Hoping Raiola, also a teammate, is in the other ear!

Oh Come On Jim Carrey GIF

As long as we get 1 of either Stewart/Houston this class will be amazing (assuming Lightfoot indeed commits') getting both would be even more amazing but at this point it's not a L if we only get 1 of the 2.

I feel good about Houston for sure, especially since he's already set his announcement date and has finished his visits. We'll see with Stewart but you have to feel good about him being a DMV kid. We've had some nice wins out of there. If we had the choice of both of them or one of them + Bolden, I'm definitely taking the latter.
