It's too bad you don't have an indoor setup. Toss those bitches under a 1000 watt for a couple weeks. They'd catch right up.
 
BTW guys, we need a companion thread for those moments when some of us may have said something to the effect of "Load a bowl so I will have something to do while rolling this joint", or upon discovery of a joint that went out while you were holding it, "Damn, I forgot we were burning one".
 
The first autoflowers I harvested and dried turned out not so great.
I left it growing too long, then let it dry too long. It never had a really good taste, didn't smell all the strong or great, and didn't get me high.
Might have been genetics too.

Fuck waiting, so I just tried my newest autoflower 'triks'.
It's just fine. Pretty good as a matter of fact.
It's fresh, so the taste and smell in the jar hasn't matured much yet, but the high is really good.

I harvested these earlier and didn't dry them so long/hard.

To be fair, the first time, I had some interruptions out of my control that may have contributed to it all, but this time was fine (and the weather was much better for growing).

Are you using Boveda humidity control packs? After drying your buds, these will regulate the humidity. The original use was for cigars. Boveda sells them at various humidity control levels. For pot, get the 62% RH.

How do you like the 62%
 
If dried and cured properly, you shouldn't really need the humidity packs, IMHumbleO

If done properly is the magic phrase. Indoor stuff is easier because the quantities are much smaller. I'm not sure what proper is though. The bulk of my weed is outdoor weed in the fall and filling a space the size of my two car garage isn't unusual. There isn't humidity control so you do the best you can. And it's in the fall, so the weather plays a major role. Have a wet week of rain and plants won't dry much at all that week. Get a week of dry, warmer weather and after three or four days I can smoke some fresh green.

Because of the differing weather, I never get a consistent dry with my outdoor. So I do a lot of burping of jars for about a month...just to make sure one wetter bud didn't slip by me. And then I add in the humidity control packs.

I still have a lot of bud from last fall and my nephew was up over the fourth. He was impressed with how nice those buds still are. I am too.

I was told to get the 62's and have been using them since. I like them and wouldn't be without it for my buds. But I don't know any better. The 58's may be better. :noidea:

Ya, drying outdoors kinda sucks.

Once trimmed, throw em in paper bags fer a bit before putting in jars. Give em a gentle shake every now and then.

Once jarred, just smoke out of all of em, and that will act as the continued curing/burping.

I've been using paper bags for a long time. I had read you gave that advice earlier in this thread. I second it.

Ha! That's brilliant. Truth is I rarely smoke buds now. I do rosin pretty much only. I keep buds around for friends and family though. My rosin is too much for the faint at heart. I keep telling them to take little dabs. :laugh:

I love the paper bag technique myself.

I also use a big sundeck door screen propped up on 2 chairs. Spread it out in my shop and turn a fan on them. I go in every day to tumble them. Once they are moving down the dry highway, I put them in paper bags with the fan still on.
 
No nutrient deficiencies or nutrient burn with the 'super soil' I mixed up.

Maybe a little light on the phosphorus, but I top dressed them last week, and some liquid fertilizer high in phosphorus.
 
I waited on trimming them up because of some time restraints on my end, but got them trimmed up 2 weeks ago.
They need to flower hard.
 
Just covered the photoperiods and cherry tomato plants with a 12x12, 60% shade cloth, for the upcoming Heat Dome that will bring 100+ temps for at least 2 weeks with little chance of rain.

Plus, they were getting too tall, had to make them disappear from sight.

Worked pretty good, and maybe they won't burn up.
 
Just noticed I have 3 autoflowers about 2 weeks from harvest, all of the leaves have been mostly eaten by bugs, but the buds are untouched.

I think I'll just let them keep maturing.
They have a good smell now, and are sticky, so any time really
