I will give her credit, she tells us everything. Like stupid shit, she doesn't even need to tell us.


Nevertheless, it bothers me, because as smart as she is, she is also naïve to to what the dangers actually are. She knows there ARE dangers, but I'm not ready just yet to explain them to her.

So true story, her telling me yesterday that someone asked her age, caused me to abandon the laundry I just loaded into the washer, and forget to put the lid on the liquid laundry soap. (New bottle where the cap is the lid. Every kind we've ever had has a spigot, so you don't need to cap it...this one does not) Started the load, had a serious quick talk with her, and then headed out to pick up my boy from school. The whole fucking 3 quart jug spilled apparently during the spin cycle. All over the washer, all over the floor, under, behind and in front of it. Total fucking disaster. 2.5 hours to clean it up, and I don't think it'll ever be fully gone. I could prolly put my hands under water right now, and rub em' and suds would still appear.

Such a fucking mess. Used like 3 rolls of paper towels to "clean it up".

Needless to say, I drank fairly heavily last nite.

We had Social Contracts that they had to make with us, when they first started. Of course, we started ours on iPods, that could only access wifi, and we pretty much controlled everything.... including downloading apps from the app store. We could also... without warning, at any time, demand to see their activity.

I didn't do a deep search, but here's an example of one you could use.

She is monitored pretty heavily. My wife has it linked to her phone somehow, so she sees anything she tries to download er what have you.

End of August, beginning of September, that dude blew his brains out on Facebook live or whatever....? As soon as I got wind of it, I texted my girls and told them to put their phones away until I got home. Don't ask. Just do it, or lose their phones for a good bit of time...

Anyway - yes. I forced myself to watch the video that was becoming viral, so that one of us (their mom) would be able to talk with them if they happened to come across it unintentionally. That's the shit that parents need to decide on, and deal with, nowdays. It's unavoidable.

The contract is just for talking points to let them know how serious you are about it, and how serious they should be.

Huh? It's level. The spin cycle just vibrated it off. I think. I may have even set it down fucky, like in between the units, er something.

Not sure, as my mind went tunnel-vision with the daughter.

So we've been ordering meat and dairy stuff from a farm in PA for the past month...the dairy stuff is fine but the meat is bloody tough, no matter how we prepare it. A big difference between this and the mass-produced stuff, which we're accustomed to.

BUT: "no harmful antibiotics"

what cuts?

how's the marbling?

what are they fed? grass or grain?

We've gotten some filets, but mostly it's been cubes and ribs. It's grass fed, and there's not much marbling at all. They also left a lot of fat on top of the ribs, which added weight/cost. I think they figure we're stupid city slickers who don't know any better
