OREGON to the B1G

If the PAC folds can we move the Rose Bowl to SoFi stadium, move the date that works for everyone and stop pretending that the old Rose Bowl isn't a dump?

Looks like the B10 is waiting for the other teams to bolt to the B12, and then scoop up 2-4 teams having already had talks with them.

LOL. They've already been "predatory".

If it weren't for the Big 10 nabbing USC/UCLA then the PAC would have a network media rights deal similar to the Big 12 by now.
 


Oregon and Washington to the Big Ten - Not a surprise

California and Stanford to the Big Ten - would be a little surprising tbh, the recent smoke has really been about UW/UO

"while also keeping an eye on if any teams leave ACC" - Woah! That's what stands out to me. Leaking the possibility of ACC schools leaving the conference is...interesting

If everything explodes, they may just go full 20 expecting that's where conferences are going.

The Big Ten will end up past 20 at some point IMO. It's just a matter of time.
 
It's the beginning of super conferences.

B1G will expand to 16 in '24. Then if they add at least 4 more teams that goes to 20.
In the meantime, the SEC will be looking to expand. I guarantee that.
The ACC and PAC will be dead.
We could be looking at 3 conferences in the next decade.

Yeah, it looks like the process is being accelerated. What we thought would happen way down the line, may end up happening a whole lot sooner.

If the B10 takes 4 more from the Pac, then the SEC is definitely taking 2-4 from the ACC.

The only viable candidates for SEC expansion are:

FSU
Clemson
UNC
Someone that gets lucky and gets an invite to balance the league.

ND is the wildcard and brings up some interesting scenarios.

Let’s say the B1G does take FSU and Clemson. It doesn’t hurt the SEC it just makes expanding make less sense. I feel like they take UNC but in this scenario do they take someone else or cut a deal with ND that keeps them out of the B1G and independent? The SEC could easily cut a deal with ND for 8 games a year that balances the league and keeps them independent. I wouldn’t have even let that cross my mind but if the above scenario takes place why not? It completely fucks the B1G and ND rotates through the league.
