OREGON to the B1G

I'm sure that was meant for the ACC honchos to read.

That's pretty much going nuclear. Would you really put that out there if you didn't already have an exit strategy?

Evidently so.

These guy’s have egos the size of Texas. Besides what do they have to lose they’ve already told the ACC they want out so it’s not like they are going to ruin the relationship as that is already strained.

Sure. If I wanted to light a fire under the ACC head honcho's asses.

FSU wants unequal revenue distribution.

The ACC certainly isn't gonna kick them out over it.

The How is the point that you can afford to break your GOR and cough up the cash.

The when is the point it reaches an amount you can afford.

It's an empty threat to get unequal revenue distribution IMO.

$39.4 million x 13 years is a half billion dollars. That's IF FSU can break the GOR for ACC money.

iirc the GOR says the ACC gets their media rights even if they go to the Big 10 or SEC.
Therefore if the ACC wanted to be pricks about it they could take whatever FSU's Big 10 distribution would be. If I'm the ACC, at $75 million/Yr I say go for it. That's a billion dollars.

Even TX/OU paid more than a years worth of Big 12 distribution to get out one year early. That's because their GOR stated if a team wanted out a year early they had to pay 2 years.
The other reason TX/OU took the $50 million each deal is because the Big 12 could have taken their SEC distribution for 2 years.

Florida State cryin wolf again (ugh).

I remember when they were cryin before and used the Big12 as leverage:

Don’t fall for it BIG, tell them drama queens to pound sand.

If I'm correct regarding the ACC GOR being able to take future media rights when a team goes to another conference.....

If Clemson and FSU break the GOR and go to the Big 10 or SEC, the ACC could take their Big 10 distributions.

$75 million x 2 = $150 million/year to distribute to the remaining 12 ACC teams.

That's a $12.5 million per year raise for each remaining ACC school.

They're stuck. They ain't getting outta that GOR for $300 million.

Oregon and Washington to the Big Ten - Not a surprise

California and Stanford to the Big Ten - would be a little surprising tbh, the recent smoke has really been about UW/UO

"while also keeping an eye on if any teams leave ACC" - Woah! That's what stands out to me. Leaking the possibility of ACC schools leaving the conference is...interesting

Still not buying anyone is leaving ACC.

Which is why it doesn't make sense for the remaining ACC schools to agree to any reduced exit $$. It is in Boston College's interest to vote NO to amend the GOR just to suit FSU exit strategy.

And FSU does not own it's media rights anymore, the ACC does. For the duration of GOR.

That’s what I said from the beginning. FSU is bluffing and planting stories as scare tactics.

That’s a shady ass organization. I don’t want their ass in the SEC.
Too bad. It’s only a matter of time. Boring ass Florduh-FSU matchup continues but soon in the an all SEC matchup

I'm sick of reading this stuff about how Florida State and Clemson are going to maybe do [FILL IN THE BLANK] or [FILL IN THE BLANK]. What the conference commissioner needs to do is get their Presidents and Athletic Directors on the phone and tell them straight out "Listen. up shit heads. You signed the GOR. You're gonna live with it. No special deals for either of you or anyone else in the conference....got it? If you want to kick rocks then we're gonna take every bit of that $300 Million from each of you and we'll be just fine. Now go tell your donors to either start shitting checks to buy your bus tickets or STFU". Then hang up. He would have earned his paycheck and more when they piped down and lived for the day they could leave but in the meantime.............................

Yeah, it looks like the process is being accelerated. What we thought would happen way down the line, may end up happening a whole lot sooner.
Not really. Exactly what we’ve been saying for months. The ACC stuff is just noise IMO. Everything else is going to chalk. The networks aren’t giving prorate shares if you added anyone.

Closer to $750 million, but rock on … I’m with you. The litigation will go in for years, And there is no place to land until you are out of the GOR. STFU, Noles.
