OREGON arriving in the B1G will create changes

Since Chip Kelly ran Pete Carroll out of Autzen Stadium and into the NFL you guys have not been able to sustain a winning record vs us.

You guys begged the B1G to not add us, yet they didn't listen to you and here we are.

Since 2010 we have taken some major recruits right out of your own backyard.

My favorite thing is USC fans denying they don't have an Oregon problem, but knowing they know they do.

lol

Your delusions are hilarious.

Adam Gorney, a national recruiting analyst for Rivals, one of the top recruiting analysis sites, has been looking at the recruiting process both before and after the advent of these uniform changes. Uniforms have a substantial effect on recruits choosing which program to play for, he said.

“I think uniform combinations and having all of that kind of stuff is definitely one factor in many factors in recruiting,” Gorney said. “There’s a reason why when kids go on visits, the new big thing is to take photoshoots in all kinds of uniform combinations. It’s to sell those recruits, but also to kind of influence other kids who are scrolling through social media to kind of follow along.”

According to this National Recruiting expert, uniforms do play a role. You can be dismissive all you'd like, but it's this guys career, so it has some validity to it.

He may do this for a living, but he acts like Oregon is the only school where recruits post pictures in the uniform of the team that's hosting them. They all do it at virtually every program they take an official trip to.

Regardless of how many uniform combos they have.

I agree that it's likely a factor, but not nearly as much as Ducks fan and that guy in the article want to claim. There are several teams that consistently recruit as well or better than Oregon that don't have constant costume changes.

At most, it's something of a "tiebreaker". Like..."I like what these 2 schools have to offer equally...but I do like this teams' uni a little better".

This wasn't an article exclusively about Oregon. I am merely pointing out that jerseys play a role, and can play a significant role depending on the recruit. If its the tie-breaker in getting a commitment, I'd say that's pretty significant.

If you don’t have tradition you have broke high school kids that like jerseys. Uncle Phil won’t live forever (and he’s 80 now) so what happens when the Nike corporation wants to keep all that money thrown into Oregon U and invest in a huge headquarters in New York City/leaving Eugene in the taillights?

And I posted the actual universities brand value as reported in Forbes and haven’t heard from @OregonDucks (little ducky) since.

First of all your first paragraph is idiotic. Brand values sure thx for the link - doesn’t mean kids like em.

Not sure why you're so dismissive? It's this guys career. He thinks it plays a significant role in recruiting. I've also read where jersey number is pivotal in a recruit making a decision as well. I'm not saying it's the best determination for picking a school, but it's important.
Show me just one recruit, and it doesn't even have to be Oregon, it can be any school. Show me one who came out and said they picked a school based on uniforms. You show me one and I won't be dismissive.

You've already been proven wrong, but keep digging
Same comment to you -- show me one player who came out and said -- I chose "fill in the blank" based on their uniforms. It doesn't even have to be Oregon. You can use every school in D1.

A uniform can catch the eyes of a recruit, but there isn't a recruit in ANY SPORT picking a school based on uniforms.

If uniforms played a major role in recruiting, Alabama wouldn’t be getting the top recruiting class every year with those outdated, bloody stool colored jerseys
Amen to that. I remember Alabama wearing white away helmets years back and I thought that was radical for them.

Has Bama ever even wore an alt uniform? I don't remember ever seeing it.

That quacker fan who rated the helmets and had Oregon #1 would probably have Bama last since it's just a number.

Jesus guys - Bama is a blue blood. Oregon is not. They amped up everything including having player input on uniforms to potentially give them an edge in recruiting. I can’t believe grown men don’t get this.

I can't believe grown men are falling for it.

Again for the THIRD TIME it is part of the recruiting package. If it doesn’t work why have other programs gone to it???? Read this article it will provide some insight on the topic you desperately need.
