Bro this is the worst QB play we had since Brodie got hurt and we threw Marc Guillon and Spencer Pennington out thereMy take on this. Saban is not the issue. Yes his ego wont let him admit when he missed on who the starter should be, but that is expected considering he has won so many titles.
Offensive line cannot block for running or passing.
Quarterback is more of a runner than a QB. He needs to be relegated to specialty packages where wildcat offense is used, put in a QB that can pass the ball from the pocket, build a pocket around that QB.
Defense needs to learn how to get to the QB even in double teams.
Coverage is an area of concern.
Our offensive coordinator needs to understand that screens and short passes are designed for fast defenses rushing in, so utilize that part of your play book when they are keying on your happy feet QB.
Long pass plays take time to develop, if you dont have time to drop back, you dont have time for a long pass play.
Receivers need better tutelage on how to get open and what to do when the QB is scrambling.
With all of this said, Bama fans are spoiled(me included). We got used to the magnificence of Bryce and his ability to scramble inside the line of scrimmage and find an open receiver. We wont see that again if Milroe is the option the rest of the way as starter. He will give is a drop back, possible 1 second scan, and then launch for the sidelines to run, or straight ahead to scramble to yards. If he is the started next week, Saban's ego didnt watch the game film of this game with him. Bama will survive to fight another day, and when Texas comes to our house again, we will live to fight another time with that team.
His points are valid though: Saban firmly believes that if his plans are executed properly, his teams cannot lose, all but ignoring talent gaps that may exist. He called the game tonight as though BY was still under center, and with an o-line that could provide more than two seconds of protection.Bro this is the worst QB play we had since Brodie got hurt and we threw Marc Guillon and Spencer Pennington out there
Everyone can buy players now.Agreed. Saban has earned the right to walk away when he wants
Wouldn't say its that we can't recruit them. Seems our evaluation and development has dropped off
They could back then. Barners bought a QB and won the National Title. Tuberville was buying kids tooEveryone can buy players now.
You know Alabama had taken it to different level and don’t even pretend it wasn’t happening. They could back then. Barners bought a QB and won the National Title. Tuberville was buying kids too
Perhaps and perhaps not, but they didn't get caught. You know Alabama had taken it to different level and don’t even pretend it wasn’t happening.
They recently picked up Peyton Thorne on clearance for $7.They could back then. Barners bought a QB and won the National Title. Tuberville was buying kids too

Is it tho? Kirby is about to do the same thing. And unlike Saban I don’t even think he is 50 yet so he has got 25 or so yearsAnd CFB is better for it.![]()

Only thing that’s gonna stop UGA is if Kirby gets the Itch to try the NFL. He is a Saban clone and he is young enough and has enough energy to keep it going. You seem to be greatly underestimating UGA’s ability to step on their own dicks.
You may want to re-think your position, good sir.
