didn't i say we needed to shit the bed.. 9 penalties or some shit and 3 turnovers..

I also blame the weather.. it was cold and we basically punted the first qtr due to it

Wrong again. Texas just lost to the better team.

Suck it up.

i really don't think we are the worst team.. i do think we got outcoached today though.. All season long we never ran an I with both murphy and sweat on the goal line.. if they did that.. they should have let Quinn sneak it while they pancake him into the EZ.. Also DG was struggling before that last drive throwing the ball.. he was hurting us with his legs.. why did PK pretty much play a prevent to get that guy in a rhythm? I still don't understand.. if you are going to get beat , let it happen deep with a safety..

players didn't play their best but weren't put in the best positions, especially on offense

OU played like ass in all three phases as well.

Both teams have a lot of upside moving forward.

blah blah blah..

guess what the bones of ou players aren't resurrecting on the field to help you.. you hired a coach that was an upgrade and his defense got blasted and the "homerun hire" of Lebby couldn't even muster up a FG

lol half your team transferred? you had 16.. which i'm sure a dozen you didn't care about to begin with.. the others? they knew a sinking ship when they saw one ?

hopefully you got half a new team now then.. put up a fight this weekend, losers.

UT doesn't choke in these games as a favorite..ou does.

they will struggle vs our lines

I think they'll make a few plays, but it won't add up into making this a tight game late.

guess you missed out that UT is a 2nd half team now

A real football genius.

It will be interesting. Both secondaries were exposed. I saw OU had some real late game injuries. Tip my hat to Venables, he came in with the an excellent game plan. I will remain angry about PK’s prevent defense vs one of the most experienced QBs in the country, after he was pretty mediocre throwing the ball most of the 2nd half. Just can’t give him easy pitch and catches. Sark not going for it on 4th down pissed me off also.

i have issues with Sarks play calling but that sack Quinn took was on him.. the read was for Brooks to carry it.. and Quinn held onto it. I think Sark would have went for it, but despite Brooks nice gain on third down.. it was too much of a gamble to go right back into it.

I honestly felt that the game was done after that goal line stand which the playcalling I do have issues with from Sark. The OL got beat on those downs badly, didn't help that everything took 2 seconds longer because we had two DTs who were in as blockers

The only thing saving us is our red zone defense and our turnover margin.

…and it feels good for the first time in a very long time.

I think Quinn missed 1 pass in the 2nd half. OU lost their starting CB and Safety the series prior. You give Quinn the ball on 3rd and 9. If you don’t, you give him the ball on 4th and 4 vs the FG block team. Venables made a huge mistake there and Sark let him off the hook. Let’s think about the percentages there.. Auburn came in 2- 8 from 40+. He hit one vs OU, so he was 3-9 from 40+ on the year. He made the kick and I applaud him for that, but the percentages didn’t support the move. Game isn’t close to over, if he hits the FG.. Now a 1st down, essentially means OU can not win it in regulation..

Honestly turnovers didn’t mean much.
1st one - OU TD
2nd one - leads to Texas TD on block
3rd one- 3 and out for OU

I would say the prevent defense cost Texas more pts at the end of both halves. Penalties and poor tackling were huge for Texas. Neither team played a perfect game, but I thought Texas made mistakes at critical pts.

Some more Trivia:

Ever since Texas fired Mack Brown, every year they lose to Oklahoma, they go on to lose, on average, 3 more games that year.

Now wait a fucking minute.

Up until 11:08 Saturday morning yall was fixing to be nummer one in a matter of hours….now y’all are “bad”?

Negatory ghost rider…y’all are fuckin awesome!

Hopefully the next time around OU won't have a punt blocked for a touchdown, a field goal blocked that would have sealed the game, and a shitry punter.

OU 5-1 in the last 6 meetings and 11-4 in the last 15. Sooners own them.

Since 2017, the winner of the Red River Rivalry has been the team wearing white 6/7 (85.7%) times.

Both of these teams should win out and the winner of the big 12 title game will be in the playoff.
