More Michigan Cheating

Again -- this could all be done without going to the game. Teams are given extensive game tape. And again, the teams have all the formations teams have run already, how many times they have run or passed from that formation and the individual plays run out of each formation, unless they hide plays until the week of a game.
Then why is michigan where they are right now? Why did they need this guy doing this?

Clay Travis is VERY wrong about the "school wont do anything" part.

Michigan will absolutely 100% start sacrificing people (Harbaugh) to save their HONOR AND INTEGRITY! reputation.
Nah, at most the random guy gets the axe and the rest of the staff claim no responsibility.

Michigan hired him in 2022. Having someone on the sidelines interpreting signs seems like a valuable asset to any team (since that is legal).

It depends on how hot the water gets, if shit really starts hitting the fan Harbaugh and his whole staff (at least anyone the university deems accountable as well) are getting the axe without question.

Cowturd is Fox Sports top sports commentator. Finebaum is one of ESPN's. My assertion that the national media is laughing at this was true. Regionally, this is kicking up flames exactly where you'd expect it to.
You quote 3 notorious trolls. Meanwhile real sports media are not just dismissing this.

You clearly are missing context with that response considering what I was actually responding to.

I think Harbaugh exits to the NFL before Michigan does anything ever to him. The guy has a golden parachute here. Our DC would also have the same gameplan. Harbaugh may have been gone anyway after this season. But I still don't think this amounts to anything.

But the timeline of this is going to be unsatisfactory for those looking for some immediate punishment. Even if the NCAA files a notice of violations, Michigan has 90 days to respond. Well beyond the end of this season. And we don't even know how the NCAA would qualify these violations. They could be level 2 violations by their own admissions in previous rulings and amendment proposals. Michigan receiving a bunch of level 2 violations would be nothing.

And this is where it comes back around full circle. Harbaugh came out and totally denied knowing a single thing about this guy doing this stuff, yet we see him on the sidelines constantly in the OC and DC's ear their their respective units are on the field, so what is it? How could Harbaugh possibly not know anything was happening?
The guys actual job is to try and decipher the other teams signals IN GAME. Every school has a guy on the sideline trying to do this. So him being in the ear in the OC and DC isn't a big thing.

Sign stealing goes on at every level, in every sport. What he did used to be legal until the NCAA put an end to it because not every school could afford to send coaches to future opponents games. It wasn't stopped because it was illegal, it was stopped to make it a level playing field for the schools who can't afford to do that.

As far as Harbaugh not knowing -- I will say this, if Harbaugh knew an analyst was paying with his own personal credit card to have random people film sidelines of future opponents -- he deserves to be fired for stupidity alone. I cannot fathom any of the coaches getting paid millions of dollars would let any staff member risk that by paying for tickets with a personal credit card. That is absolutely asinine.

The personal credit card tells me this wasn't some crazy plan by the coaching staff. It isn't as if you couldn't have had any number of random people purchase the tickets and no one would have any clue.

That is what has me lost. It isn't one person sending in signals from the sideline. It is multiple people sending in signals. You can see that on the TV every weekend any time they pan to the sideline between plays.

If they were banking on the team not changing their signs -- I could see it being a benefit, but if they change the signs on a week to week basis -- what does the week priors signals mean in the future?

None of that means much when distracting from the real issue and the rule.

Paying for 3rd parties to attend and video future opponents sidelines says there must have been a benefit for Michigan to do it.

Seeking an advantage is why they were doing it.

They won't do headsets because some schools cannot afford it. It is the same reason why you aren't supposed to do what this guy did. It isn't illegal to try and steal the signs of the opposing team. It is illegal to go to the games of future opponents, because every school can't afford to do this. It comes down to the level play aspect of the NCAA.

Yet another reason the big boys need to break away from the G5 schools.
