an anxious Tuesday morning

Pretty sure the flu shot was always widely known as the autism shot. @Handicappers gets one every week.
I think it was the MMR vaccines that were the ones people were always talking about autism. Like Jenny McCarthy.

As a society, we're over-medicated. I'm thankful I have a doctor who says there's really no reason I need a COVID or flu vaccine.

I have received no COVID vaccines at all, and I stopped getting the flu jab the moment I retired from the military and the government didn't require that I get it. Strangely, I haven't had the flu since.

I had my only flu shot in the fall after my first kid was born.

I did get the J&J COVID vax when things were going a little crazy and my aunt was diagnosed with cancer. Of course, at that time they thought the vaccine prevented you from getting or transmitting COVID, or I probably wouldn't have done it.

Honestly, I don't begrudge anyone that decides to get either regardless of their motivations. As far as I'm concerned, it's a personal choice. However, I don't want to hear anyone preaching to me that I should.

Wait. Which shot are you talking about?
I'm assuming flu, I get my flu shot annually. I'll probably get covid booster at same time

well, when I say annually, i mean the years I remember and now that I don't go to campus where they have free clinics for staff I'm not always vigilant going when I'm not escaping work for 20 minutes

The one time I got a flu shot I was sick more that year than any other.

Yes and no

Few years ago my wife went to a holistic doctor or something, my wife got home and I said let me guess

"you're deficient on Vitamin B 12 and Zinc"

"yes, she gave me those pills and she sold me few other things"

And the "doctor" did this all without any bloodwork or other diagnostics

First 2 years I got flu shot I was very sick after, hard to say if it was shot, the whole correlation/causation

Hasn't happened since. I don't get too worked up over it one way or the other.

It could have been a bad batch but I haven't wanted to tempt fate since
