If Bama is a 1 loss Texas will get it over Bama because they beat Alabama(even tho we would beat that ass today.)And Alabama would get it over Oregon.

If it’s just between Texas and Oregon(which will probably happen because I don’t think we beat Georgia) then I do think Oregon gets the nod over Texas

A win over Alabama is the only thing Texas has going for it because they don’t pass the eye test right now.

It doesn't work like that.

The best team in the best conference is getting in. Bama or Texas will be left out, you can fight about which one of you it is...seems pretty clear to me that Bama gets in and Texas gets left out.

H2H counts for things like tiebreakers...it doesn't trump everything else.

Just agree to disagree. Bama and Texas would both have better SOS and Strength of record than Oregon and they say it don’t but brand matters. And Alabama and Texas are 2 of the biggest brands in college football

Oregon will have beaten a top 5 CFP team

Yup. If Texas isn't ahead of Oregon before the CCGs, they certainly aren't going to pass them after.

I'll go one step further.

I expect that in this week's rankings the committee will have Bama above Texas, which means they are no longer using H2H as a differentiator between Bama/UT.

This funny. The committee publicly said the Oregon’s win over Utah was the same as Texas beating Bama. That was stupid at the time and it looks dumber today. There will be several more twists and turns before this over . Resumes will change. Texas resume took a pretty big hit yesterday with multiple upsets. Though Oregon has by far the worst SOS of any 1 loss team. If anyone thinks the committee won’t randomly rearrange the top 4 on the last week, they have not been watching CFB.

Nope - if Oregon beats Washington that is a bigger win than yours against Bama in week 1. Texas loss is worse. Most prognosticators and media folks say Oregon wins the eye test as well.

It’s going to have to be eye test, because Oregon schedule is weak. If SOS is going to matter, Oregon will be 3rd
